This event marks the beginning of a series of summits that will be held across key states in India, highlighting regional achievements and fostering dialogue on the contributions of each state to the nation’s development.

    The upcoming edition of the ‘Diamond States Summit’ aims to provide a platform for in-depth discussions and insights into the progress and potential of Madhya Pradesh. The event will bring together distinguished leaders and influential personalities from the state for a meaningful discussion.

    The esteemed speakers who will be attending the summit are chief minister Dr. Mohan Yadav; Madhya Pradesh; state president of BJP  V. D.     Mumbai: Star Sports Network and the Esports World Cup Foundation (“EWCF”) today announced the acquisition of broadcasting rights for the Esports World Cup (“EWC”) 2024. The tournament, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 3 July to 25 August, will unite the global gaming communities and deliver premier competition in a unique format at an unprecedented scale. Over eight weeks, the EWC will feature the world’s top Esports clubs competing in 21 of the most popular game titles, making it the largest multi-game Esports tournament ever. As the official broadcaster, Star Sports is set to deliver comprehensive coverage of the tournament, offering viewers and fans an unparalleled Esports experience with in-depth commentary in English and Hindi. The Esports World Cup will be streamed on Star Sports’ YouTube channel and broadcast on linear TV via Star Sports First and Star Sports 2.

    In 2022, BGMI Masters became the first Esports franchise to be broadcast in India by the Star Sports Network, drawing in millions of viewers over its linear television debut. Highlighting the immense popularity of the online multiplayer battle royale game, Star Sports has been instrumental in bringing esports to the mainstream Indian gaming audience.

    The EWC will offer the largest prize pool in esports and feature the most popular esports titles across all major gaming genres. It will welcome a new cross-game competition format, awarding prizes for individual game titles and club performances. This will be the first-ever e-sports world cup with a prize pool of more than $60 million (Rs 500 crore)

    The eight games to be broadcasted on Star Sports Network are Call of Duty: Warzone, Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Overwatch 2, Apex Legends, Fortnite, EA Sports FC 24, and PUBG Battlegrounds.

    Specific highlights include:

    . Opening broadcast: Week one, 3 July at 10 pm on SS First and SS YT Channel with Call of Duty: Warzone in Hindi.

    . Weekly Schedule: From week three, starting 18 July, EWC will be broadcast at 9 pm on SS2 and SS First along with SS YT Channel.

    . Hindi Commentary: Call of Duty: Warzone (week one) and Counter-Strike 2 (week three) will be shown with Hindi commentary on SS First along with and SS YT Channel.

    Mumbai: Times Network, a premium broadcast network hosted the inaugural edition of the India Climate Summit 2024 in New Delhi. The Summit brought together key stakeholders and climate champions to discuss and devise a definitive action plan for India’s future as an environmentally sustainable and responsible nation focusing on embodying India’s vision of achieving a net-zero economy by 2070.

    The special address at the Summit was delivered by Bhupender Yadav, minister of environment, Forest & Climate Change. The Insightful sessions were delivered by distinguished speakers including, Erik Solheim, former under-secretary-general of the United Nations and executive director of UNEP; Dr Vibha Dhawan, director general, TERI; Mozaharul Alam, regional climate change coordinator (UNEP) and APAN Secretariat amongst others.

Three critical challenges lie ahead, controlling carbon emissions from human-centric development, balancing our consumption of natural resources, and combating land degradation. Despite political opposition, our proactive approach to climate action remains steadfast. India’s achievements in reducing carbon emission intensity and increasing non-consumable energy capacity ahead of global targets reflect our dedication to sustainable development. We advocate for mindful consumption and environmental stewardship. Our efforts, including providing Soil Health Cards to 30 crore farmers and launching initiatives like ‘1 Ped Maa Ke Naam,’ reflect our dedication to preserving Mother Earth. As we move forward, India invites global collaboration to achieve a greener, sustainable future for all. We must integrate our cultural values with technological advancements to foster mindful consumption.”

    The India Climate Summit successfully concluded with several notable highlights. A white paper, prepared in conjunction with EY, was unveiled, offering practical insights and ideas for managing India’s climate and sustainability transition. Additionally, to offset the event’s carbon footprint, over a thousand trees were planted, demonstrating a tangible commitment to environmental responsibility.

    Mumbai: In a thrilling display of skill and determination, the Indian Deaf Cricket Team emerged victorious at the County Ground, Leicester in the bilateral series against England, showcasing their prowess and resilience on the international stage. Indian team was invited & hosted by England & South Wales Cricket Board.

    ECB played the perfect host and the team was delighted to get this unique opportunity to play in five cricket grounds & prove their mettle each time.  The Indian Deaf Cricket Team’s success in the bilateral series against England is a moment of celebration for the entire nation, as it marks another milestone in the journey of Indian cricket. As they continue to inspire and uplift through their achievements, they undoubtedly pave the way for future generations of deaf cricketers to dream big and aim high.

    The series witnessed an intense battle between India and England, with both teams demonstrating exceptional cricketing talent. However, it was the Indian team that dominated throughout, securing a commendable series win by defeating the hosts by six wickets in the seventh and final match of the series.

    Abhishek Singh was awarded the title of ‘Man of the Match’ while Sai Akash was referred to as ‘Man of the Series’. Captain Virender Singh took the maximum wickets.

    Mumbai: Even as Zee Entertainment Enterprises led by Subhash Chandra is streamlining businesses by laying off high cost senior management, it is also expanding its footprint international.

    Last week, the media major informed the Bombay stock exchange that it was setting up a step down subsidiary for its UK outfit in Kenya.

    Styled as Zee Media Kenya Ltd (ZMKL), it has been set up to launch free to air channels in in Kenya and east Africa.

    Zee Entertainment UK Ltd (ZeeUL) is investing 1000 Kenyan schillings in its equity with a price of 100 KES per share. ZMKL has received clearance from the Kenyan registrar of companies for its incorporation.

In January 2019, Pandey was appointed as the CEO of ABP Network and under his stewardship, ABP Network further diversified into untapped verticals and markets in the broadcast and digital sphere.
