    On the occasion of Dance Day (September 19), ZEE Biskope presented fans with a unique dancing treat in the form of its recently-curated engagement drive – Kamariya Kare Hip Hop. Taking the channel experience far beyond the realm of their blockbuster movies, the initiative, a category first, reached out to audiences located even in the most interior of regions. The channel launched a rap version of their brand song composed by 5 Tricks – a rap group from Bihar. Viewers were invited to perform on the rap song and share their videos with the brand through their Whatsapp number. Encouraging people to put their best foot forward, show their passion for dance and shake a leg, the immense appeal of Kamariya Kare Hip Hop saw it receive a terrific tally of more than 42,000 responses. This humungous response has a milestone moment in the channel’s legacy yet again.

    Leaving no stone unturned towards celebrating the resounding success of the campaign, the channel has now come up with a special half-an-hour original show for its viewers on Sunday, October 4 at 11:30 amwhich will be hosted by none other than the celebrated Bhojiwood superstars — Chintu Pandey and Gunjan Pant.     MUMBAI: Cinema owners in west Bengal are heaving a sigh of relief. West Bengal chief minister Mamta Banerjee today announced that cinema halls can start screening films for the public come 1 October.  In the process, it has become the first state government to give the green signal to the beleaguered cinema exhibition sector which has been shut since March 2020 and has run up huge losses.

    However, screenings will be limited to 50 participants and cinema halls will have to follow strict safety protocols such as masks, sanitisation, physical distancing and other precautionary procedures. Along with film screenings, jatras, plays, open-air theatres, and shows related to music, dance and magic shows will also open from 1 October. Banerjee said the decision was taken as another step to take living to near normalcy.

    Bengali actors, the Eastern India Motion Pictures Association and the Multiplex Association of India  (MAI) – have repeatedly beseeched the state government to  give the sector the go ahead to start operating again. The state has reported 4,700-odd Covid related deaths with 244,000 getting infected and 214,000 recovering. Around 3,200 new cases are being recorded daily.

    Producers and distributors have been releasing films direct to OTT over the past few months in order to cut their losses. It’s quite probable that some of them will start looking at the big screen again.

    Commenting on the development, SVF co-founder and director Mahendra Soni said: “We are happy and welcome Didi’s announcement. This is a huge relief for the exhibition industry. Having said that to restart the actual business the re-opening has to happen at a national level otherwise there would difficulty running the theatre operations without new film releases. I am hoping to get some kind of announcement from central government too. "

    "As far as SVF Cinemas is concerned we are waiting for detailed guidelines and safety protocols before we decide on the opening date. We will open as soon as possible once we have the official notification along-with do’s and don’ts," he added.

    With West Bengal opening up movie theatres, will other state governments follow? The MAI, for one, is hoping they will, sooner than later.

With the picture of a train on the lid that calls itself the #ZeeTVkiEntertainmentExpress, a scroll inside the hamper urges the recipients to get on board the train on 28th September to find out what surprise Zee TV has in store for its viewers this October. If their posts are anything to go by, the hamper has left the actors puzzled as to what the “Entertainment Express” is and what could Zee TV’s big announcement on 28th September be all about?

    MUMBAI: The fifty first edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which was to be held from 20-28 November in Goa was looking iffy thanks to the unabated spread the SARS COV2 virus in India. Today, any doubts about it were put to rest: the directorate of film festivals which comes under the ministry of information & broadcasting decided  that it was being rescheduled to 16-24 January 2021. The announcement was made by I&B minister Prakash Javadekar after consulting Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant.

    IFFI – when it will be held next year in Goa – will comply with all international film festivals guidelines and protocols. The ministry added that it would held in a phygital format – that is both physical and virtual.

Enterr10 Rangeela is a Bhojpuri language General Entertainment Channel.
