  • Tata Indicom launches interactive audiosode

    MUMBAI: Telecom service provider Tata Indicom has unveiled the latest in the range of its value added service offerings. The interactive audio episode Inspector Baaz powered by Tata Indicom Voice Station will offer one mystery episode per week.

    The service is available across India.
     

    Tata Indicom charges Rs. six for every minute of the audiosode. To access the service, the customer would have to dial 12900 from a Tata Indicom Walky or mobile phone and say Inspector Baaz. Subscribers can guess who the culprit is after hearing the case. The service is targeted at the young at hearts, who enjoy crime thrillers and whodunits, says an official release.

    Inspector Baaz uses a celebrity voice of the renowned radio jockey and TV presenter Roshan Abbas. The interactive service consists of three sections under section one the subscriber will get to hear Abbas narrate a crime plot, post which h would narrate the suspects. The subscriber may then choose to guess the criminal or move to section three to hear the clues and then guess the right answer.

    Speaking to indiantelevision.com, Tata Content & Applications V-P Pankaj Sethi said the company is expected to garner about 10 per cent of its revenues from the value added service segment. “Presently, the contribution is about four to five per cent,” he said.

    Tata Indicom will rely on press and radio to publicise the new launch. “We will use radio in a big way to promote the audiosode since Abbas is a well known radio personality,” said Sethi.

  • Tata Indicom launches pre-paid service

    BANGALORE: Mobile service provider Tata Indicom has entered into the prepaid service segment by launching True Paid in all its existing eight circles.

    The services promise to offer one-second pulse, 100 per cent talk time and one rate for local and STD calls on True Paid.

    As part of the introductory offer, a free usage period until 14 November would be extended to customers subscribing to True Paid effective from 4 September. During the introductory offer, the customers can make 100,000 seconds call free, can send 2000 SMS free of charge and can download ring tones, games and wallpapers for free.

  • Tata Indicom launches VoData cards

    BANGALORE: Tata Indicom has launched its VoData cards” – a network card for Enterprise customers which provides up to 153kbps speeds. The card helps in accessing business applications and enables voice calls without cable or phone lines.
     
     
    According to an official release, VoData card allows notebook users to connect and travel seamlessly across the country. In addition to the high-speed data, users can actually make and receive voice calls. Additionally one can do a two way SMS even while connected to Internet and will provide efficiency, convenience and innovative technological experience to the user.
