    Legendary Music Composer Mr Shankar Ganesh was honoured with the Life Time Achievement Award while the popular category award recipients were Best Composer of the Year – Gurukiran for Govindaya Namah, Album of the Year – Govindaya Namah, Song of the Year – Namdukke Pyarge from Govindaya Namah composed by Gurukiran, The coveted Best Male and Female Vocalist Awards were won by Singer Chetan and Vani Harikrishna respectively. The Radio Mirchi Listeners Choice Best Album is” Addhuri” was won by V. Harikrishna. Special Jury contribution award was given to Musician “ Fayaz Khan”.

    Special Awards were given to A R Rahman as Global Music Icon, Since he has completed 20 years in Music Industry. S P Balasubramaniyam was awarded as Sangeet Samrat for his excellent contribution to South Indian Film Industry.     New Delhi — July 29, 2013 — Dassault Syst?mes, the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, world leader in 3D design software, 3D + Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced the acquisition of SFE GmbH, a leader in body conceptual engineering and performance evaluation and optimization. The addition of SFE’s technology to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform enhances Dassault Syst?mes’ transportation & mobility industry solution experiences, such as “Target Zero Defect”. This acquisition expands its CATIA and SIMULIA applications, bringing to the market an innovative technology for seamless transitions, from early conceptual engineering and performance optimization to detailed body design. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

From quick modeling to post processing analysis, to product performance simulation and shape optimization, the full design process is integrated.     Today’s announcement of an integrated conceptual engineering solution is unique in the industry. Conceptual engineering, such as 3DEXPERIENCE and SFE bring, addresses these critical challenges.

    The transaction includes the purchase of SFE GmbH, its various products, SFE CONCEPT, as well as its acoustic and NVH simulation offerings, SFE AKUSMOD, SFE AKUSRAIL, and SFE MECOSA. The acquisition was completed early July, 2013.

    New Delhi: Zee Media aired the first Television Interview of Pawan Bansal today, the former Minister of Railways, since his implication in the Cash-for-Promotion saga. He said there was a conspiracy being hatched against him since he held a very prominent position and was trying to eradicate a lot of ills that were plaguing the system.

    In an exclusive interview with Rahul Sinha of Zee Media, he said, “I’m not involved in any wrong doing and I am not an accomplice in the Cash-for-Promotion case. These are vested interests of people who are trying to malign me and my family’s image through false accusations and I’m sure that the courts will finally be able to bring the truth out.”

    He shared the various dates and the file movements on the issue to show that he was not involved in any way in the highly publicized issue. Bansal said that had there been even an iota of possibility of his involvement, he would not have been there to help the prosecution. He also pointed out that the file movement and the various conversations, said to be made on his behalf, do not gel.

    He went on to say that he was clean and that there was a conspiracy to implicate him in the matter. He also shared that he was shocked upon learning that his nephew was embroiled in the act. According to him, CBI has done a thorough investigation and the Courts will bring out the truth in the case. He also said that some of the companies that he is being made an owner of (105 in total) include PSUs and some companies based down south that he doesn’t even has clue of, let aside question of ownership.

    He further clarified that he does not think there was an internal conspiracy within the Congress party against him and he believed the party’s leadership will also understand that he has done no wrong. He was just hurt by the way the whole issue panned out and the media reports that accused him of the wrongdoing and pronounced a sentence against him.

    New Delhi: Zee Media today aired a Television Interview of Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar where he claimed that the December 16 gang-rape aftermath was a conspiracy of those who were against his appointment.

    Calling the incident a “serious and fearful” one, he says it was difficult for the cops because the accused didn’t have any past criminal records. Strongly defending the police action in handling the massive protests after the incident, the Police Commissioner, who will retire this month end, said he was personally targeted during his tenure.

    He said that the Delhi Police took all possible steps, and it was for the first time that a campaign was aimed against the police force. He also said that though such incidents have taken place earlier as well, but the police commissioner’s role was never questioned. He also felt that it was a campaign to malign him, though he did not have any evidence to prove this. He further said that every year over 5,000 of such cases take place, but people fear the police and don’t come forward to report such incidents. It is this mentality that motivates the criminals, he said.

    On the IPL fixing scadal, he said that exposing the incident was an achievement that and he was proud of it. “First of all we caught the fixers then we fixed the players. People do not understand that if we had no evidence then we could not have taken such actions against them. Simply naming a player does not dent his career, we did it very carefully.” Talking about S Sreesanth, he said justice would take a little longer.

    Mumbai: Rotaract Club of Mumbai DownTown (aka RCMDT), a youth wing of the Rotary International, continued its legacy of sponsoring the school fees of over 100 children from below the poverty line. Through this project we personally go to the individual beneficiary’s house; conduct a strict survey of families from very weak financial backgrounds; verify every supporting document (Income v/s Expenses) and on basis of the survey, help in their child’s education by sponsoring their annual school fees.

    Gyaan Daan (A Child Education Project) is RCMDT’s flagship project which is being organized since 42 years now. A surprise visit to the beneficiaries is made in the month of May and a survey is conducted by the members based on the predefined criteria with the style of living and the supporting documents for expenses and income. The form of a child is also rejected if the standard has improved over the previous year or has completed the schooling.

    Commonwealth Gold Medalist, World Wrestling Champion Sangram Singh and a Philanthropist who graced the occasion on his birthday commented, “I am highly impressed with the systems and process this Rotaract Club follows in conducting the project. Considering that they are generating funds through donations and corporate sponsorships, the money invested is genuinely going to the needy through the finest channel. Spending time with these children was one of the best birthdays I have ever celebrated. I promise to support them in this cause in every possible way like I have been doing.”

Mustafa Disawala, President, Rotaract Club of Mumbai DownTown highlighted, “Since past 42 years we sponsor the school fees for about 100 children whose progress reports and school fee cards are regularly checked by our members, thereby ensuring that the funds provided are being utilized solely for the educational purpose. Our efforts remain to incorporate and educate more children every year from across the city.”

    Along with the education fees, the children are counseled twice in a year during the special camps organized for them twice in a year and to maintain the child’s focus towards education and become a responsible youth. A month’s food grains, notebooks & writing material is distributed along with the fees. Free medical checkup and basic health medicines were given by the doctors from Workhardt Hospital.
