But beware, as every fantasy comes with a price! This Sunday, 30 August 2020, &flix, the destination of the biggest Hollywood hits, takes viewers on a trip to Fantasy Island with the Flix First Premiere of the 2020 suspense thriller at 1 pm , 7 pm and 9 pm. After back-to-back #FirstDayFirstShowAtHome of blockbusters like Jumanji: The Next Level and Bad Boys For Life, &flix invites viewers to #LeapForth into a world where your biggest fantasies turn into your worst nightmares!

    Directed and produced by Jeff Wadlow known for his work on Kick Ass 2 and Never Back Down, the edge-of-seat thriller features an ensemble cast featuring the Mexican-American actor Michael Pena (Ant-Man) Austin Stowell (Spielberg's Bridge of Spies), Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) and Maggie Q (Mission: Impossible III) among others. The horror-thriller movie will also premiere the same day at 3 pm and 11 pm as part of Club Privé on &PrivéHD and 2 pm on Zee Cafe.

    The plot revolves around a group of seemingly unrelated individuals with diverse backgrounds who embark on a trip to an exotic island. One with a mysterious vibe, the island promises these hopefuls a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to grant their one of their deepest fantasies under the watch of the enigmatic owner Mr. Roarke (Michael Pena). The only catch is that once you begin, there is no looking back! By now, there are signs that there is more to this blissful island than what meets the eye. As fate would have it, these fantasies don’t really play out as expected and come with a price that threatens their lives. It is the island is in control now and the guests – Gwen (Maggie Q), Melanie (Lucy Hale), Sonja (Portia Doubleday), Bradley (Ryan Hansen), Brax (Jimmy O. Yang) and Patrick (Austin Stowell) – now find themselves on a life-defying run to save their lives!

    Filled with jump-scares and screams, here’s a thriller that surely reminds one to be careful what you wish for!

Directed by Jeethu Joseph, this blockbuster family entertainer revolves around the journey of a family that finds itself in an unusual situation because of an identity theft. This thriller has a delightful mix of comedy, drama, emotions and chaos in the spectacular star cast featuring Jyothika, Karthi, Satyaraj, Sowkar Janaki and Amala Paul among others.     Move away Bollywood, regional cinema is now raking in the moolah

    MUMBAI: For years, regional cinema has been given secondary treatment as compared to the show and pomp of the burgeoning world of Hindi cinema , be it in the sheer number of movies produced every year or just the level of exposure. But there seems to have been a tectonic shift in the paradigm – given the number of regional films hitting the market over the last few years and creating box office waves. Sairat and Bahubali were movies that paved the way and proved the mighty power of the local language.

    Yoodlee Films, one of the youngest production houses in the country, had sensed this shift a while ago and decided to leverage on this continuing trend from the very onset. Having produced some 15 movies in only two and a half years, the move to assign importance to local language movies was inevitable. According to Siddharth Anand Kumar, Vice President – Films & Events at Saregama India Ltd, for the production house,  regional cinema is going to be a focus area. “We are strongly looking at regional cinema as we are convinced that making cinema in local languages will help us reach a wider and different cross-section of the audience. While some of our regional language movies – namely Tamil and Marathi are already in the works, we are looking at many other local languages to tell stories in.

    Yoodlee Films’ released two films previously in the South market :  the critically acclaimed Tamil film KD and the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual Abhiyuum Anuvum. Three more, namely Habbadi and Zombivali in Marathi and Super Senior Heroes in Tamil are in the making. Zombivali has already garnered much interest when it releases its first look a few weeks back,  given that it will be the first Marathi horror comedy featuring zombies. The movie is directed by  Aditya Sarpotdar, and has a power-packed cast of Amey Wagh, Lalit Prabhakar, and Vaidehi Parshurami.

    Siddharth adds that regional cinema has might have stories rooted in a particular milieu but they are powerful narratives which cut across language divide. “Regional cinema is also seeing big names investing in it and there is  sense of innate pride in putting forth a project of one’s language and culture in the mainstream. Viewers are no longer seen through a sieve of language anymore. All they want is an unique story – one which works at a human level and that they can relate to” he added.

    The shooting for Zombivali is currently continuing in Latur, Maharashtra and Super Senior Heroes and Habaddi is in various stages of post production.

    MUMBAI: Fresh from the success of Khuda Haafiz, Panorama Studios has expanded its footprint in the country by opening an office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The huge milestone comes for the leading production and  distribution house after having produced over 50 films in Hindi and other regional languages and distributed over 500 films in multiple languages across India and overseas.

     The new office is an addition to the existing three offices (in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore) that Panorama Studios operates from, within India. It has been established in Ahmedabad for the production, marketing & distribution of Gujarati films as an addition to their existing slate of releases.

    Panorama Studios, in association with VCS Industries Limited, will jointly run operations in order to provide the said services to the producers & exhibitors of Gujarat with the expertise available locally. The entity will offer a wide range of services including production, distribution, marketing, social media marketing, online and offline PR, publicity design & audiovisual campaign, P&A support, co-production support, in-film branding, co-branding for ready films, etc.
