Armed with knowledge of their current capacity and the ability to predict future needs, users can plan for capacity additions more accurately. When users know exactly which racks or devices will be affected by any power system failure or by scheduled maintenance, they can identify and address potential issues before they cause an outage. Additionally, the module lets users better plan for power maintenance and perform risk assessments.

     

    The Trellis Power System Manager also allows users to see data center power from a high-level view across the data center down to a single device view.     The Trellis Mobile Suite is an app that allows users to manage data center assets in real-time, anywhere and anytime, by transforming a mobile device into a portal to the Trellis platform. The ability to take action from a remote location reduces risks to business continuity and improves staff efficiency. Because the app is linked to the Trellis platform in real-time, users can also take it to the data center floor, where they can find, add, move and remove racks and devices faster; carry out audits easily; and configure the database without returning to a computer. The unique and innovative image recognition technology and bar-code scanning capabilities enable real-time updates right on the data center floor. Thus, users can save time tracking assets and updating their system while reducing the risk of human error that comes with entering data.

Integrated with the Seagate Mobile Enablement Kit which includes Seagate’s Dynamic Data™ Driver software technology, the new storage solution delivers up to 7x the storage capacity of a traditional 64GB tablet with the same power, performance and reliability of a flash device.

    Seagate has addressed several key areas beyond a standard laptop HDD to optimize mobile applications with the Ultra Mobile HDD and Mobile Enablement Kit. These areas include shock management, heat and vibration and gyroscopic motion— all of which have been heavily tested to ensure the drive delivers the best experience in a tablet solution.

     

    Seagate Dynamic Data Driver Software

    Keeping pace with today’s mobile storage demands presents other challenges as well including power consumption requirements, device drops by consumers and user demands. Merging the new Ultra Mobile HDD with the Dynamic Data Driver software alleviates these obstacles enabling OEMs to comfortably fit high-capacity storage into mobile devices.

     

    Seagate’s use of Dynamic Data Driver software addresses these challenges through a combination of system design considerations. Reduced power consumption and improved performance are achieved through an intelligent caching design that is implemented at the system level. As a result a mobile device using 8GB of flash and the Ultra Mobile HDD and Dynamic Data Driver software have the power consumption equal to that of a 64GB tablet and the performance equal to that of a 16GB tablet— while costing less than either.

     

    The software provides drive protection through the use of enhanced motion sensor and thermal monitoring algorithms to control drive access and avoid usage conditions that might harm it. The drive is so well insulated that in many cases a dropped device’s screen would break before its hard disk drive.

     

    To further reinforce reliability for mobile devices, the Ultra Mobile HDD integrates Seagate’s own Zero Gravity™ Sensor providing better shock management. Incorporated power modes support the drive in sleep, standby and idle enabling it to consume as low as 0.14W and support the long battery life demanded by tablets. Its slim, rugged design allows it to be utilized in new emerging applications like convertible and detachable storage.

     

    Leveraging the company’s experience with ultra-portable applications like iPods, MP3 players, and handheld video recorders, the newly-engineered 2.5-inch drive  is just 5mm thin while weighing in at a mere 3.3oz— about the same as a light bulb. Featuring up to 500GB of capacity, it delivers the highest areal density available in a small, ultra-thin form factor while supporting over 100,000 photos, 125,000 songs or 62 hours of high-definition video and movies.

     

    The Seagate Mobile Enablement Kit includes the Ultra Mobile HDD, Dynamic Data Driver software, and an optional customized reference design which allows HDD-powered tablets to transparently deliver high-capacity storage space to an end user in a mobile solution. The kit is currently designed to support the Android operating system.

    MUMBAI: FM Bole Toh Radio City is back with Season 5 of Radio City Super Singer across India. Taking off from the super success last year, this time Radio City Super Singer assumes a scale larger than ever before.The winner gets felicitated with a prize money of Rs. 1 Lakh and a break with popular music directors across India. The mega talent hunt rolled out carpets on the 8th of September, across India.

    Radio City Super Singer is one of the biggest celebrations of music on an FM radio platform. For the first time, Radio City introduces a WAP site, where participants can upload their audio clips through a simple log-in (http://myradiocity.in) from any mobile phone. Other than this, interested contestants can avail of any of the traditional avenues of auditioning.     MUMBAI: Mogae Media today announced that its MoCoupons business vertical has signed up over 2000 grocers and general merchants in Delhi in its very first month of operation. MoCoupons is Mogae’s mobile couponing ecosystem by which mobile subscribers receive discounts. Hitherto, while mobile discount coupons could be originated by different brands, the encashing of the discount, or the offer was limited to company owned outlets which are very few in numbers.

    MoCoupons is a major step forward in the last yard connectivity between consumers and brands,” says Tanya Goyal, Executive Director, Mogae Media. “We at Mogae have invested a lot of time and money in creating an end-to-end solution for FMCG brands which have a large number of retail outlets that they need to reach across dispersed geographies. We can now target not only the desired customer profile for FMCG companies, but more importantly fulfil the redemption of the coupons through on-ground tie-ups with the local kiryana stores”.

    The MoCoupons couponing system not only serves, tracks, validates and encashes coupons delivered on the mobile to consumers, but also gratifies the trade in one complete transaction loop. The entire system has been developed in-house by Mogae Digital, the sister company of Mogae Media.

    “We have a large field force out in Delhi signing up grocers, general merchants and OTC pharmacies. In the first month we have crossed 2000 signups. We are currently testing the coupons of two of our partner FMCG companies. In the month of September we will cross 4000-5000 signups in Delhi and NCR,” adds Tanya Goyal.

    Mogae Media plans to cover all the metros by end of 2013. In the next 12 months thereafter, MoCoupons will extend to top 20 cities across India.
