    Star Movies and Star Movies Select bring ‘Celebrating The Oscars’ Festival

    MUMBAI: Celebrating the true spirit of the Oscars for over 20 years, India’s one-stop destination for English movies, Star Movies once again amps up the entertainment quotient for its viewers ahead of the 93 Academy Awards. Keeping up with the enthusiasm and excitement, the ongoing ‘Celebrating The Oscars' festival will air on Star Movies and Star Movies Select HD from Monday to Friday at 7 pm until 30 April  2021. Both channels will showcase a range of iconic Oscar winning films and will give viewers an option to simultaneously select and switch between their favourite one. In addition to ‘Celebrating The Oscars’, ‘Oscars Blockbuster’ will air every Saturday at 7 pm until 1 May  2021.

    The ‘Celebrating The Oscars' and ‘Oscars Blockbuster’ festivals will telecast some of the worlds’ most critically and commercially acclaimed films like Avatar which took home three Oscars with nine nominations, Life of Pi wherein Ang Lee was recognised as the best director along with three other wins and ten nominations, Titanic, Boss Baby, Predators, The Toy Story Series, Gladiator, and many others. Viewers can also catch all-time favourites such as Captain America: Winter Soldier, Iron Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Guardians of the Galaxy, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, among others.

    With 24 distinct categories, the 93 Academy Awards will be telecasted live exclusively across Star Movies, Star World, Star Movies Select and Star World Premiere at 5:30 am and repeated at 8:30 pm on Monday, 26 April 2021.

Poila Boishakh, being the first day of the new year, is celebrated by Bengalis all over as it marks a fresh start, a dawn of new hope and aspirations.

    Zee Bangla has long been a custodian of the intricacies of Bengal’s heritage whether it is celebrating the many festivals and their traditions or reviving Bengal's art forms as they get passed down to the next generation. The brand believes in celebrating each festival with great enthusiasm while keeping alive the traditions handed down over Bengal's illustrious history, keeping alive the brand's promise – ‘Notun Chonde Likhbo Jibon’.

    Although this Noboborsho was different from other years due to the lockdown’s effect on the Bangla New Year spirit, Zee Bangla hosted a virtual ‘Probhat Pheri’ celebration for all its viewers.

    Zee Bangla, a connoisseur of the cultural elements, has always pioneered Bengal’s indigenous ingredients and tried to revive the intricacies of Bengal’s heritage so that they are passed down to the younger generations.

    This Poila Boishakh, the channel took the initiative to celebrate the Bangla New Year with an aesthetically curated and vibrantly appealing 'Probhat Pheri' Live Streamed on Zee Bangla’s official Facebook page on Thursday, 15  April, from the large and prestigious EMC campus in Kolkata.

    Welcoming the year 1428 with great enthusiasm, Zee Bangla celebrated a delightful concoction of its distinguished culture and traditions with Bengal's favourite art forms. Bengal’s tradition and culture are imbibed in its art forms, its music, and its dance, and what better way to welcome another year with a Probhat pheri showcasing these.

    The celebration began at six in the morning with mongal sankha dhwani, followed by a cultural performance including a Rhythm orchestration with dhaak, khol, bangla dhol, an on-stage representation of a famous dance drama, and a recitation-based dance performance. Not only this, but the viewers also witnessed some popular art forms such as Santhal Nach, Chau Nach, Ronpa Nach, Uday Shankar’s fusion style and Robindra Nritya.

    Bengal’s diversity is not only in the art forms but in the attire. For the Probhat Pheri, the women dressed themselves in the traditional laal-parh shada saree and showered flower petals while holding up ‘Kulos’ as they walked along. The men on the other hand were seen wearing dhuti-punjabi and Bengal’s traditional big and colourful masks.

    Vijay television Premiers Mookkuththi Amman a super hit movie which was released in 2020.  April 14 being a Tamil New Year Day, Star Vijay is all set for airing abundant special programs and blockbuster movies this Wednesday.

    Mookkuththi Amman was released in 2020 in Disney + Hotstar that had a phenomenal response and the movie was critically acclaimed all over by Tamil audience.
    The movie was directed by comedian actor RJ Balaji and a directorial debut.  Co-director by N.J. Saravanan.  The film stars Nayanthara, Urvasi, Sruthi Venkat, Madhu Mailankody, Abinaya, Moulee, Ajay Ghosh and many others.  

    The story revolves around a news anchor (RJ Balaji) joining along with the title character (Nayanthara) to expose a particular ‘Godman’ as fake.  The music was composed by Girish with lyrics written by Pa. Vijay.  The song Aadi Kuththu sung by the all-time eminent singer LR Eswari was popular among viewers.

    Colors Tamil, the youngest GEC of Tamil Nadu, is all set to bring to your screens the direct satellite premiere of the much-anticipated movie – Sarbath. First time available to viewers on Colors Tamil, the family entertainer Sarbath is Directed by debutant Prabhakaran and boasts of a star-studded cast featuring acclaimed actor Kathir, renowned comedian Soori and debutante Rahasya in the lead roles. Apart from its eminent star cast, the film also has the talented Ajesh Ashok as its music composer.
