    Tickets for oct. 5 nba india game to go on sale aug. 13

    MUMBAI: NBA India announced today that registration for tickets for The NBA India Game 2019 on Saturday, Oct. 5 will go live beginning today at 12:00 p.m. IST and will run until Sunday, Aug. 11 at 11:59 p.m. IST.  Ticket sales for the game will go live for registered fans Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 12:00 p.m.  To pre-register for tickets, fans can visit http://www.bookmy.show/NBAIndia2019.

    The NBA India Games 2019, which will feature the Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers playing two preseason games Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Dome, NSCI, SVP Stadium in Mumbai, will mark the first games that teams from a North American sports league have played in India.  The NBA India Games 2019 will be managed by BookMyShow in association with AEG.  Details about The NBA India Game on Oct. 4 will be announced at a later date.

    MUMBAI: Seventy eight years ago, one of India’s favourite sons breathed his last. Rabindranath Tagore, a polymath of exceptional ability and deserved worldwide stature, is a celebrated writer, poet, philosopher and artist, who played a large part in reshaping Bengali literature, music, and art.

    To commemorate his 78th death anniversary, EPIC On, EPIC Channel’s OTT platform, will be releasing its critically acclaimed show, ‘Stories By Rabindranath Tagore’, in Bengali. Directed by Anurag Basu, and featuring Radhika Apte, Amrita Puri, and Sumeet Vyas, amongst others, the 26-part series is an anthology of the Nobel laureate’s stories, including some of the most popular ones like Chokher Bali, Athithi, Detective, and Kabuliwala.

    Also premiering on EPIC On is ‘The Art of Shantiniketan – Masters in the footsteps of Tagore’, a documentary film created by Anita Gurnani and Selina Sen. Winner of multiple awards, this film is a tribute to the legend, tracing the Tagore family’s efforts in setting up Vishwa Bharti, for incorporating nationalist sentiments and to acquaint the Indian youth with their culture and heritage, during the time of colonial rule.

    MUMBAI: TikTok, the world's leading short video platform, has collaborated with leading social enterprises, Josh Talks and MASH Project Foundation to build awareness on social issues and mobilise the TikTok community of creators to create larger social impact. As part of the partnership, TikTok conducted a workshop in the city with various NGOs in the country to make them aware of how TikTok can be efficiently utilized as a platform to disseminate information on critical issues, generate support and foster cooperation across the community for social good. The initiative has been launched as part of TikTok For Good, a long-term, integrated engagement initiative recognizing TikTok’s commitment and contribution to India's creative economy as a content platform for social good.

    The second workshop concluded in Jaipur yesterday was attended by 74 NGO from sectors such as digital literacy, women empowerment, rural development including health and drinking water and skill development among others. NGOs were educated about how the power of storytelling through a platform such as TikTok can lead to gratification from an online community of supporters as well as drive connections with potential donors and fundraising mechanisms. Some of the prominent NGOs that were present at the session yesterday were – Pratham Infotech Foundation, SEWA Bharat, CUTS International, Barefoot College, Centre for Micro Finance and many more.

    TikTok along with Josh Talks, India’s largest social impact media platform and MASH Project Foundation, a social enterprise of changemakers aims to empower NGOs across sectors with the reach and influence of a platform such as TikTok. The goal of this project is to support these NGOs and help generate awareness about critical social issues and mobilise the TikTok community to be a contributor of larger social good.

    The plot follows the lives of Thulasi (Sai Pallavi) and Krishna (Naga Shourya), two school students who are madly in love with each other. Years later, the couple ties the knot after they have completed their studies. Time goes by but a decision made in the past returns to haunt the couple. The untimely death of her mother and father-in-law gets Thulasi thinking and she decides to probe their deaths. She soon learns of an eerie connection and tries to warn her family, only to realize that her husband is the next target.

    MUMBAI: In a twin hat-trick, Concept Public Relations India Limited has won gold for its not-for-profit public service campaigns for the third year in succession and bagged three awards in this year’s edition of America’s PR World Awards.

    #BoomCityDoomCity campaign, strategized by Concept PR focused on creating awareness for saving hills, mangroves and wetlands in Mumbai Metropolitan region (MMR) has bagged Gold under Milestone of the Year and Achievement of the Year categories at the 9th Annual PR World Awards instituted by Log Angeles-based SVUS (Silicon Valley United States). The agency also won Bronze under Agency of the Year list. Concept PR is the only Indian agency to figure in the 9th Annual PR World Awards list.

    The Mumbai head-quartered agency has earlier won Gold for its #MissionMumbaiLocal (2017), highlighting the plight of the suburban train passengers, and #SaveParsikHill (2018) which dealt with the need to preserve the hills in MMR.
