Scoop aims to enable enterprises to leverage conversational analytics, understand the key problems and eventually skyrocket their conversions.

    MUMBAI: Persecuted in Myanmar, forced to seek refuge in neighboring Bangladesh and then exploited and trafficked to places unknown. That’s the reality for many Rohingya Muslims living in Cox’s Bazar – now the world’s largest refugee camp accommodating nearly one million people – as they are targeted by human traffickers and lured from the refugee camp with false promises of employment and better living conditions.

    CNN travels to Cox’s Bazar to shed light on this troubling reality in ‘Stolen Son: A CNN Freedom Project Documentary’, a powerful new film that tells the story of one mother’s desperate attempt to find her missing 12-year-old son.

    ‘Stolen Son’ follows Dominika Kulczyk of the Kulczyk Foundation as she meets Fawzia Karim Firoze and Wahida Idris, leaders of the Bangladesh National Woman Lawyers Association and lawyers in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, as they work to seek justice for impoverished women and children who are often ignored by the judicial system.

    CNN goes with the lawyers as they visit Arakan Rohingya Society, a community center in Cox’s Bazar currently dealing with more than 400 cases of human trafficking. While there, several women come to report new cases of kidnappings and possible trafficking, including Khurshida, who says her 12-year-old son, Faisal, was taken by a neighbor’s husband three months ago. In their search, they discover the suspected kidnapper may be a criminal with ties to a pirate ship.

    “A very large percentage of the Rohingya children living in the camp suffer from malnutrition,” says Idris. “They've fled a desperate situation only to find themselves exploited by criminal trafficking syndicates. They're homeless, they're stateless. They have no identity. They have no nationality. It's the worst scenario.”

    “It’s been two years since the mass exodus of Rohingyas out of Myanmar in what UN investigators have called a genocide. And unfortunately, many of these people have been forced into slavery,” says Mike McCarthy, Senior Vice President and General Manager of CNN International. ”This important documentary shines a light on a pair of tenacious lawyers from Bangladesh who have made it their mission to fight for justice for these victims and help a heartbroken mother search for her stolen son.”

    MUMBAI: TAFE’s ‘JFarm Services’is a CSR initiative aligned to TAFE’s vision of
    cultivating the world to enrich the lives of farmers across India. This initiative was formally launched inAssam in partnership with the State Government, by Shri. Atul Bora, the Honorable Minister of Agriculture, Horticulture and Food Processing, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary and Town & Country Planning, Government of Assam.

    TAFE’s JFarm Services aims to increase easy access to farm mechanization solutions through rental of tractors and modern farm equipment to small and marginal farmers, enhancing their productivity and increasing their income significantly.

    It facilitates the hiring of tractors and modern farm machinery to farmers, free of cost, through its
    Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) rental platform. TAFE’sJFarm Services will collaborate with the agricultural development officers of the Assam Government to ensure wide outreach and successful roll-out of the platform.

    Agriculture continues to be the primary occupation in Assam. About 70% of the population in the state is dependent on agriculture as a source of livelihood. With majority of them being small or marginal farmers, there is tremendous potential in the state for growth and increase in productivity through farm mechanization.

    Ms. Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman & CEO – TAFE, said: “India is a land of small farms. A majority of farmers in our country, almost 85% of them have no access to farm mechanization to improve their yields and income. JFarm Services is a CSR initiative that allows both – farmers offering their tractors and farm equipment on rent, and smaller farmers seeking this service, to benefit directly from the JFarm Services app. It is our aim to reach out to the farmers of Assam, touch the lives of millions of farmers across the country and achieve our Honorable Prime Minister’s vision of doubling farmers’ income by 2022.”

    The JFarm Services App will connect tractor owners and Custom Hiring Centres (CHCs) operated by tractors and equipment owners directly to farmers seeking farm mechanization solutions, thereby facilitating a fair and transparent rental process while focusing on quality, dependability and timely delivery. JFarm Services offers the farmers and renters a wide range of prospects for hiring and renting of farm equipment and connects them directly to negotiate and fulfil their respective requirement. With this pioneering platform, TAFE brings the benefits of the technology-enabled sharing economy to boost the income of farmers.

The App can be used on low-cost Android phones, is designed to run on very little data and can be used in English and Hindiapart from the various other regional languages. The
    JFarm Services App is a stellar example of the Digital India initiative, tailored to benefit the Indian agricultural landscape. This service by TAFE will foster digital empowerment of Indian farmers while creating a breed of new rural entrepreneurs and significant job opportunities.

    JFarm Services, besides Assam,has a presence in states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, and has directly benefitted about 295,000 users resulting in over 820,000 hours in hired farm machinery usage. In a short span of time, JFarm Services has become one of India’s largest farm equipment aggregation operators.

    MUMBAI: In a fitting tribute to its former president Arun Jaitley, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has decided to name the Stadium after him. DDCA President Rajat Sharma said Stadium will be called Arun Jaitely Stadium. Ground will remain as Ferozeshah Kotla Ground. Mr Jaitley, who passed away on August 24, was president of the DDCA from 1999 to 2013.

    The renaming of Delhi’s famous cricket venue as Arun Jaitley Stadium will take place on September 12 at a function where a Stand of the Kotla ground will be named after India captain Virat Kohli as announced earlier.

    Speaking on this initiative, DDCA president Rajat Sharma said: "What can be better to have the stadium named after the man who got it rebuilt under his presidentship. It was Arun Jaitley’s support and encouragement that players like Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Ashish Nehra, Rishabh Pant and many others could make India proud."

    Mr Jaitley, during his tenure at the Kotla, is credited with renovating this stadium into a modern infrastructure, increasing it capacity to help more fans get an opportunity to watch their favourite cricketers in action besides constructing world class dressing rooms and other cricketing facilities

    The function, to be held at the Weightlifting Auditorium, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, will be graced by the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the chief guest, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju, the guest of honour.

    MUMBAI. LaLiga has beaten another record, this time in conjunction with TikTok, the largest short-form video platform in the world. Together they have launched #HolaLaLigaSantander, a campaign which has generated more than 220,000 videos and reached over 50 million views in just two weeks.

    The challenge, which consists of fans showing off their skills by doing headed keep-ups with a virtual LaLiga ball, was a roaring success on TikTok during the first week since its launch, and this is expected to continue over the coming weeks. "We're confident that users will continue to join in this challenge so we can reach 60 million views in a few more weeks," said Noel Nuez, TikTok’s Country Manager for Spain and South America.

    LaLiga, one of the first big European leagues to open a profile on the short-form video platform, currently has 350,000 followers with many of its clubs including Atletico de Madrid, Cadiz CF, FC Barcelona, Sevilla FC, RCD Espanyol, Real Madrid CF and Real Zaragoza already on TikTok.

    "We're very happy with the activation’s results. We've teamed up with TikTok and managed to make history together. The results of this initiative have far surpassed our expectations and we're convinced that this is just the beginning," added Alfredo Bermejo, LaLiga's Director of Digital Strategy.

    Among the millions of fans from over 40 countries who took part in the initiative, it is worth making special mention of some of the sports stars, celebrities and influencers who have shaken up social media with their videos.

    They include Espanyol’s Matías Ezequiel Vargas and former US football star Jimmy Conrad, as well as freestylers Javi Freestyle – the two-time Spanish champion – and Jenifer Rosas of Mexico.

    Also involved were celebrities from the music and showbusiness world, such as the Colombian Luisa Fernanda W, whose video proved the challenge’s most popular with over 1.1 million views.

    Creativity has been the common theme in this challenge launched by TikTok and LaLiga, in which we have seen some wacky and entertaining videos. One such example is Dani Duke’s upload, considered to be one of the most creative of all of those posted by people joining in the fun.
