    Likee collaborates with I Am Desi World to promote new music video

    New Delhi:  Likee, the pioneering global short video creation platform from Singapore based BIGO Technology has collaborated with I Am Desi World to promote a new music video. Launched in 2017, I Am Desi World is a group of 5 quirky singers, and the band has gained its popularity for making creative and offbeat Haryanvi language songs. Basis on the collaboration with I am Desi Wold, Likee is all set to amplify reach of the new music video with #haryanvimashup. The song is a mashup of popular Haryanvi songs with original lyrics by Gurmeet Bhadana from the band.

    As part of this collaboration, Likeers will get an opportunity to make creative dance videos with music integration of the new high-energy song by I Am Desi World. Also, the band will create its official account on Likee to engage with the young music enthusiasts. I Am Desi World is a regional band highly popular in Delhi-NCR and is formed by five music enthusiasts namely Gurmeet Bhadana, Lokesh Gurjar, Totaram Sondhiya, Desi King (Himanshu Kumar) and Baba Bhairupia (Ravi Sharma). They are primarily known for their risky creative pursuits in the music world and powerful performances. Through their collaboration with Likee, I Am Desi World aims to further expand its reach among the youths of India who love to experiment with new things.

    Likee is available in different Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi. In 2019, Likee had also won the Guinness World Record for creating the 'Largest online video album of people waving a flag in India' during its 'No matter where I am, #IAMINDIAN' campaign. The campaign saw more than 1 lac Indians participating in celebrating India's 73rd Independence Day. In the recent App Annie’s year-end report on app trends for 2019, Likee has emerged as No 1 in the breakout category and is also the 7th most downloaded app in 2019.

    India accounts for 12 per cent of the world’s road deaths. In 2018 alone, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that almost 300,000 people died due to road accidents in the country. This number remains astonishingly high in comparison to other countries where the use of motor vehicles is much higher. The impact of human life loss is enormous, especially on the economy. A World Bank study has found that if India successfully reduces half of road deaths and injuries between 2014 and 2038, it could add 14 per cent to its GDP per capita. Unfortunately, the unprivileged are drastically affected by the after impact of vehicular accidents. Pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists, usually hailing from the low and middle-income strata, account for more than 50 per cent of the road traffic deaths in India.

    Road accidents affect people’s lives and often drive them to poverty. Awareness on Road accidents should be a multi-sectorial effort that involves law enforcement, governance, (the issue of driving licenses and vehicle registration), engineering (appropriate road design) and post-accident trauma care and management. On the occasion of 31st road safety awareness week aligned with the UN mandate, the Government conducted a road safety awareness campaign in India seeking support from all its citizens and big businesses.     MUMBAI:: Following the grand success last year, Dome Entertainment in collaboration with entertainment giant Dome Entertainment and Cineyug organised Umang 2020 on Sunday, the 19th of January 2020 and paid a beautiful tribute to Mumbai Police. The event was a star studded affair with all the big names from the Hindi film industry in full attendance.

    The event held in BKC, Mumbai appreciated the immense contribution by the Mumbai Police force along with recognizing their heroic deeds everyday towards keeping the city safe. The gala event saw some stellar performances by several leading film stars and artistes. Bollywood icons like Dharmendra, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Rani Mukherjee, Madhuri Dixit, Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal among others stars graced the evening.

    There were performances by multiple stars from the Bollywood industry and the total amount raised was contributed to the Police Fund. Also the Mumbai Police Calendar 2020 was launched by yesteryear’s superstar Dharmendra along with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackrey.

    From January 27 – 31, fans will witness an electrifying battle between good and evil as superheroes Baalveer and Aladdin come together to end the dominance of two of the fiercest villains Zafar and Timnasa.

    Siddharth Nigam (Aladdin) and Dev Joshi (Baalveer) who are currently shooting together on the sets of Baalveer Returns in Mumbai are cherishing the time they are working together as they prepare for the mega-clash against Timnasa and Zafar.

    Talking about the experience of shooting for the crossover, Siddharth Nigam said “The upcoming track is going to be extremely exciting for the fans as both the superheroes Baalveer and Aladdin will unite for the first time on Indian television. The hard work that the entire team is putting to make this happen will be very evident once the crossover goes on air from January 27th onwards.”  

    Dev Joshi too is cherishing his time shooting with Siddharth, “This is the first time the fans will get an opportunity to see Baalveer and Aladdin together. Siddharth and I are good friends and we have a lot of fun on the sets together. He is extremely professional and both of us are having a great time shooting together.”

    Timnasa, on the hunt to gain the takht – that needs three stones to control the past, present and future, creates a magic portal and travels to Baghdad in search for the second stone. Meanwhile, in Baghdad Zafar is at his evilest best in order to gain the ultimate power and has trapped Ali, only to find out that Ali is actually Aladdin.

    Things further intensify as, Timnasa leaves Bhaymar with Zafar and tasks him to activate Medusa, whereas Zafar returns the favour by giving hukum to Ginoo to follow whatever Timnasa tells him. With the evil minds of Timnasa and Zafar combining, the task in front of Baalveer and Aladdin is huge with Ginoo forced to turn evil and is stuck in Kal-Lok. 

    How will Aladdin’s and Baalveer counter this challenge from Zafar and Timnasa? Will Timnasa succeed in gaining the second stone or will Zafar destroy Baghdad? The upcoming week will reveal it all as an action-packed week full of drama, suspense and exuberance beckons.

    MUMBAI: Tubi (www.tubi.tv), the world’s largest free ad-supported video on demand (AVOD) service, today announced it will expand its service into Mexico later this year in collaboration with TV Azteca, one of the two largest producers of Spanish-language television programming in the world. As part of the deal, TV Azteca will offer advertising sales for Tubi in Mexico and promote the service to its massive audience via online and other platforms. In addition, some of TV Azteca’s most popular titles will be made available completely free to Tubi customers in Mexico, including Exatlón Mexico, MasterChef, and Lo que La Gente Cuente, among others.

    Also announced today, Tubi will partner with Hisense – one of the world’s largest manufacturers of televisions – and their Vidaa platform to be the exclusive connected TV partner in Mexico. As part of its partnership with Hisense, Tubi will be preloaded and prominently placed on the Vidaa TV homepage with content also listed in the “Vidaa Free” section of the platform – as well as their dedicated “free content” button found on their remotes. Tubi will also be supported in-store with retail promotion this year and on retail packaging in 2021.

    MUMBAI: All set to up the ‘JOSH’ this 26 th January is the World Television Premiere of the biggest action blockbuster of the year ‘Saaho’. Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho showcases a power struggle amongst the crime lords to rule over the underworld. This action entertainer gives the audience an opportunity to see the Bahubali superstar Prabhas step away from his royal prince avatar to don the role of a swanky undercover agent. With a gripping storyline and hair-raising action sequences, this movie marks the debut of Prabhas in Bollywood opposite the stunning Shraddha Kapoor. The movie also features Chunky Pandey, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Jackie Shroff in crucial roles. So, this Sunday, get ready to witness the ultimate battle between the underworld and police with the biggest action thriller of the year ‘Saaho’ at 8 pm only on Zee Cinema.

    Set against the backdrop of Waaji city, Saaho narrates the story of the ultimate battle to gain complete power over the underworld. After the sudden death of Roy – the crime boss of Waaji, Devaraj who is the son of a former don announces himself as the next leader. However, Roy’s son Vishwank foils his plans by inheriting his father’s throne. Amongst all of this, the gangsters try to get their hands-on Roy’s wealth, that is kept in an underground chamber and can only be accessed through a black box, hidden somewhere in Mumbai. On the other hand, a thief (Neil Nitin Mukesh) involved in a series of robbery lands up robbing the black box. This leads to a nationwide man hunt led by an undercover agent Ashok Chakravarthy (Prabhas) along with his team comprising of Amritha (Shraddha Kapoor) and David (Murali Sharma). When the thief is caught, the team is left shocked as they find out the actual truth behind the robberies and stumble upon Saaho.

    MUMBAI: Diageo India and Network18 acknowledged the contribution of the Mumbai Traffic Police with the ‘#ThankYouPolice’ campaign as part of the ‘Road Safety Week’ for working tirelessly towards the safety of the citizens, better traffic management and keeping law and order in check.

    In order to honour the Mumbai Traffic, Police, Diageo and Network18 have put up a Thank You Police installation at Bandstand Promenade for pedestrians, students and people living in the neighbourhood to take cognizance of the Mumbai Police’s efforts towards keeping the city streets safe.  The installation will be kept at the promenade till the end of the month.

    Anil Parab, Minister of Transport and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Maharashtra and Actor Sumeet Raghavan unveiled the installation on Friday morning, which showcases the hat of the Mumbai Police officer.

    Anil Parab lauded the efforts of the Mumbai Police and its traffic department for maintaining traffic discipline and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic. He said, “I welcome the initiative of Diageo and Network18 as the head of the department. The way the traffic problems of the city is on the rise, it is nice to know that institutions like them are there to appreciate the work of Mumbai Traffic Police. It is not an easy task to maintain traffic discipline and unclog the roads for a smooth flow of traffic, however, the Mumbai Police have put in their best foot forward to ensure smooth flow. I welcome the initiative to recognise the contributions of the Mumbai Traffic Police.”

    Actor, Sumeet Raghavan mentioned there should be self-discipline among the citizens so there wouldn’t be any instance where they violate traffic rules. “We should obey the rules and adhere to all the traffic regulations. We are like school kids and when we don’t have a class teacher in the room, we create a ruckus. Similar is the situation when we are on the road. When we see the red light at the signal we should stop, but we feel it is okay to break the law. Now with the cameras, there is a sense of fear instilled by the Mumbai Traffic Police. We shouldn’t be worried about the camera or the Traffic Police, we as citizens should discipline ourselves. The kind of work the Mumbai Police and the Mumbai Traffic Police is doing is humungous and a big salute to their efforts.
