He congratulated News18 for spearheading this initiative to recognize the service of the people in the healthcare industry, which will lead to better healthcare for all.

    Recognition is the greatest motivation and keeping tandem with the noble effort to recognize the selfless endeavor of the Health Industry in Assam, it was time for the awards. The honorable Health Minister and the editor of the channel awarded the adjudged winners in each of the 20 segments to 21 recipients. The reception at the front office desk were flooded with envelopes which were sorted in the segments and presented before a selected panel of jury which was rightfully represented by the likes of Former Commissioner & Secretary Health Sri SwapnanilBarua (Retd IAS), Dr. JadunathBuragohain (Oncologist), Dr. Arup Jyoti Kalita (State Director, Health & Beyond Foundation) and Mr. Mahadeb Deka(Mr. Universe 2009).

    The Excellence in outreach healthcare was given to “Centre for North East Studies & Policy Research”for its pioneering innovative and noble healthcare ideas to reach out the remotest corners of the State.

    HAMM Hospital & Research Centre for its initiatives in implementation of Government health schemes benefitting the needy and less privileged patients was awarded Best Government scheme managed Hospital.

    Jhpiego-Assam adjusted the Best Healthcare NGO of the Year award for supporting the State in developing operational strategies and financial proposals in healthcare sector.

    For its high standard in the practice of patience safety, Dispur Hospital bagged the best practice in patient safety award this year too consecutively.

    Health City Hospital bagged the award for excellence in critical care for having state of the art ICU.
    Apollo Hospital Guwahati for its popularity and best of nursing care got awards in two segments – Most popular Hospital of the Year and Best ICU facility Hospital.

    Similarly Pratiksha Hospital bagged two awards namely Best Woman & child care hospital, and Best IVF treatment facility Hospital.
    State Cancer Institute – GMCH was adjudged winner for the Swachhata Government Hospital Award.

    Guwahati Medical College Hospital bagged the most advanced equipped hospital award.The Hospital has got one of the four Cyclotron machine with active production of radioactive isotopes in the country.

    In a region where cancer is rampant Guwahati Pain & Palliative Care Societyfor its selfless work in service and care towards the patients in need was awarded the Compassionate Care Award.

    Arogyam Hair Transplant Clinic got the Best wellness service provider award for bringing happiness and care to the people in distress.
    For quality maintenance and service of the sophisticated medical equipment Fama Marketing was presented the Most sustainable quality Healthcare Service provider Award.

    For exhibiting high quality of excellence in hospital management and holistic development of the health infrastructure, The Best Hospital Administrator of the Year was jointly given to Mr. RanjanKakati of Dispur Hospital and Mr. Manoj Kumar Deka of Health City Hospital.

    The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred upon Dr. Mrs. AlakaGoswami for her lifelong contribution to Healthcare of the State, and making lives of many women better.

    As the day drew towards the end with an enthralling Bihu performance, the most emotional and mesmerizing moment of the evening was the ramp walk from a group of lady cancer survivors. Presented by ‘Oncocare Trust’, the walk from the Cancer survivors with smile on their face touched the hearts of each and every one present there. Mr. Universe 2009 Mr. Mahadev Deka was the show stopper and he added glamour to the event. MsMandira and MrRizu Miller were the Designer and Choreographer of the Show.

    MUMBAI: The esteemed OTT & Digital Marketing Innovation Awards in association with Promax is one proud bunch at this hour. After hosting a successful event today at Taj Santacruz in the presence of speakers & panelists, a room full of content creators, digital experts, innovators, marketing professionals,  filmmakers and the who’s who from the Indian OTT & digital industry, the event did full justice to its theme for the year – ‘Digital Re-Invent 2020’.

    The conference kick-started with a welcome message from the event’s conference chair, Rajiv Bakshi, CEO of Reliance Big Synergy Media.

    Insightful and inspirational panel sessions followed through including ‘Keynote Mastermind’, hosted by ZEE5’s CEO Tarun Katial, who said ‘At every juncture in this industry the opportunity is great but also the responsibility is humungous. How quickly people turn to digital media depends on all of us. Before creating content, we need to understand the market, the consumer, the potential and much more’.

    ‘OTT Visionaries – Re-Invent 2020’ led by Raj Nayak, Director & MD of House of Cheer Network brought about interesting discussions on monetizing the platforms and their brand USP. The panel was

    attended by an Karan Bedi, CEO of MX Player, Kranti Gada, COO of Shemaroo Entertainment Limited, Gourav Rakshit, COO of Viacom18 Digital Ventures and Vishnu Mohta, Co-Founder of hoichoi. This session brimmed with substance and imagination in and was remarkably insightful. The next session, ‘The Emerging Content Opportunities’ kept everyone engaged with an exemplary line- up of programming heads and content savants representing the best OTT brands in the country. The panelists in this fiery session included Monika Shergill, Director of International Originals at Netflix India,  Aparna Acharekar, Programming Head at ZEE5, Gautam Talwar, Chief Content Officer at MX Player, Aparna Purohit, Head of India Originals at Amazon Prime Video and Saugata Mukherjee, Head of Original Content on Sony Liv. The candid talk ‘Break the Rules’ with director duo Raj & DK hosted by VJ Anusha Dandekar was particularly popular amongst the crowd and received a great response. There was also a power- packed case study led session ‘Top Re-Invent Brand Strategies Showcase’ showcasing brand success stories of the leaders of the digital industry- Facebook, YouTube and Tik Tok presented by Prashant Sharma, Satya Raghavan and Ahteram Uddin respectively.

    The cutting-edge discussions were followed by the much-awaited OTT & Digital Marketing Innovation Awards. Running for the first time this year, the awards acknowledged and celebrated this year’s greatest and the most quality-driven teams in the OTT & digital landscape. Netflix and Hotstar were the biggest champions of the evening with a tie at 5 trophies each. Close behind were Amazon Prime Video and ZEE5 who won the popular “Platform of the Year”. While Amazon Prime Video’s ‘The Family Man’ swept the award for the ‘Best Web Series National’, ‘Queen’ from MX Player was the gold winner in the ‘Best Web Series Regional’ category.  Other notable winners included Nawazuddin Siddique as the ‘Best Male Lead of The Year’ for Sacred Games, Shefali Shah as the ‘Best Female Lead of The Year’ for Delhi Crime,, Hotstar for the ‘Best Content Marketing by a Brand on a Digital Platform’ for Game of Thrones and Malishka, who won a gold for ‘Best Digital Influencer of The Year’.

    Speaking about the enormous success of the event, Rajika Mittra, Country Head, India, Hong Kong and the Philippines of Promax India, said, “We take great pride in setting a standard for innovation and creativity in the industry. This event is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of content creators and storytellers in the OTT & digital industry across the nation.     MUMBAI :India’s top YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani recently shared with his fans a photograph in which he is seen with fellow leading YouTuber Bhuvan Bam. Adored by lakhs and shared widely on social media platforms, the photograph was clicked during the making of #VMateAsliHolibaaz, a short film produced by trending short video platform VMate for its Holi campaign. The photograph also garnered interesting responses from fans who equated the duo with the likes of ‘Modi-Trump’ and ‘Karan-Arjun’.

    Following the popularity of the photograph, VMate has now released the first look of the Holi short film starring Bhuvan Bam and Ashish Chanchlani. Titled ‘Kaun Hai VMateAsliHolibaaz’, the poster depicts the duo in rival mode. Though the actors look set to compete with each other, their mere appearance in the film suggests that it will be a laugh riot for the fans. The poster further depicts a festive Holi mood as it’s full of colours.

    On the occasion of the poster launch, VMate sssociate director Nisha Pokhriyal said, “A simple photograph featuring the two top YouTubers has become a sensation on social media.     MUMBAI: Viviana Mall in association with Thane polics has launched a new campaign to create awareness across society for women's safety, titled #MeraFarzHai. Under the campaign, an educative short film has been released, which will be shown to cinema goers before their movie. Releasing from 29 February, the campaign will run till 9 March.

    A special screening of the awareness video was done recently.

    “The only way to bring down these horrific incidents, is to rise up and act against sexual violence. This Women’s Day, we are launching an initiative to get the public more involved in prevention and reporting of harassment incidents and crime,” said Viviana Mall CEO Manoj K. Agarwal.

    As per National Crime Records Bureau’s latest statistics, the crime rate specific to cruelty against women has increased from an average of 57.9 in 2017 to 58.8 in 2018. Given the increasing crime rate against women, there is a need to be proactive in reporting such incidents.

    Viviana Mall CMO Rima Kirtikar explained the need to create awareness among citizens to come out and report incidents of crime against women with the police, as this will help in reducing unfortunate incidents.

    On March, 7, the eve of Women’s Day, the campaign will be launched in presence of Thane Commissioner of Police.

    MUMBAI: Coca-Cola India has unveiled a new campaign ‘Garmi mein Doubt Hatao, Sprite Uthao’ for its sparkling beverage Sprite. The campaign in a light-hearted manner reiterates the brand’s core message of being the best refresher in the summer.

    This multi-lingual campaign sees Ayushmann Khurrana and Taapsee Pannu together on screen for the first time as the face of the Hindi version. For Telugu audiences Kavya Thapar and Anumolu Sushanth bring the campaign to life. Anirudh Ravichander and Priya Anand are the face of the campaign for Tamil. The campaign reinforces how Sprite’s refreshment inspires youth to have the clarity to cut through others’ stereotyping and judgements. Through their friendly banter, the protagonists show how the multitude of stereotypes and judgements that society throws at today’s youth tend to distract them from what really matters to them. The campaign will be brought to life through seven TV Commercials in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and will also be aired in Kannada, Oriya, Bengali and Marathi.

    The star studded, august gathering on Saturday evening saw some of the finest feats among the glitterati. News 18 Kannada, one of India’s largest news network, presented its annual signature Varshada Kannadiga awards on February 22 to eight extra ordinary achievers.

    As a precursor, a jury meeting was held on February 7 to filter the shortlisted contenders.  Chaired by the esteemed former Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde, the jury finalized the list of eight people from various sectors for the awards.

    Saturday evening saw  over 300 guests witnessing the gala award ceremony. The who’s who included celebrities from Sandalwood, bureaucracy, politicians and friends of News 18 – DCM Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, BJP MPs Tejasvi Surya and D V Sadananda Gowda, MLAs  K  Gopalaiah, S T Somashekar, BJP Spokesperson – Malavika Avinash;  actors Puneet Rajkumar, Ganesh, Ninasam Sathish, Dali Dhananjay,  Haripriya,  Aditi Prabhudeva, Shree Leela and Sanah Thimmayya.     –          Anuradha TK, the project director of ISRO, who was instrumental in the launch of the G-SAT satellite, was finalized in the Science and Technology category.

    –          Niranjan Nempe, the inventor of  arecanut tea. He was chosen in the Business category. 

    –          Prof. G.S. Jayadeva was honored in the Social Service category.

    –          Actor and director, Rishab Shetty bagged the Arts and Entertainment award.

    –          Nemichandra lifted the Literature trophy.

    –          Dr.H.S Venkatesh Murthy, also known as the Ruby (Manikya) of the Kannada literary world, was the Varshada Kannadiga 2020.

    –          Lifetime Achievement Award, the most coveted honour was bestowed upon Chennaveera Kanavi.

    Addressing the gathering, MP Tejasvi Surya, cine actor Puneeth lauded the channels and selection committee’s efforts in identifying people who have been extra-ordinary performers, from across different sectors.

    Kudalasangama Basavajaya Mrutyunjaya seer who spoke briefly Swamiji  said most of these achievers were Kannadigas and that people born and brought up in this state have the caliber to excel on the global arena.
