  • Mumbai’s Ami Damani is Pond’s Googly Woogly Princess

    MUMBAI: Pond’s brings to you the Googly Woogly Contest for the second time. Last year Nitasha Bhateja from Chandigarh won the hearts of the Pond ‘s Femina Miss India’s with her Pond’s Googly Woogly moment and went on to become the Queen in a glittering ceremony.

    This year from Mumbai, Ms. Ami Damani was crowned Pond’s Googly Woogly Princess by Pond’s Femina Miss India Universe 2005 – Amrita Thapar. Amrita personally visited Ami in her home and crowned her amongst her loved ones. Ami received an exquisite gold crown from Amrita Thapar along with a hamper of Pond’s skincare products. Ami’s winning Googly Woogly Contest entry was her special moment when a stranger at the Dubai airport approached her, complimented her lovely face and stunning eyes and even offered her a role in a movie! Ami is a gorgeous young woman who wants to become an air hostess.

    The Pond’s Googly Woogly contest kicked off on October 25th where women above the age of 18 were asked to write in the best compliment that they had ever received. 15 women across India, with the most beautiful moments, are selected to become Pond’s Googly Woogly Princesses by the Pond’s Femina Miss Indias. One of the 3 Pond’s Femina Miss Indias will personally visit them at home & award them with a crown & gift hampers amongst their loved ones. Over one lakh entries poured in from across the country and the first 2000 entrants won a Pond’s stunning silver tulip pendant!

    Out of the 15 princesses across India, 4 princesses will get Pond’s Diamond Crowns by Pond’s Femina Miss Indias: Amrita Thapar, Sindhura Gadde and Niharika Singh, and they will become the Pond’s Googly Woogly Queens in a glittering ceremony. Watched by their proud families Pond’s will give them another special moment to remember forever!

    The Pond’s Googly Woogly Queens will win Pond’s Diamond Crown worth 2 lakh along with Pond’s beauty range and Ritu Kumar’s Designer Outfit.

  • Mumbai to breathe easy, courtesy Godfrey Phillips

    MUMBAI: Non-smokers can now breathe easy! Godfrey Phillips, makers of Four Square Kings, have unveilied Mumbai’s first-ever mobile smoking launch (MSL), on Friday.
     
     

    A first of its kind concept in India, MSL is a comfortably furnished and air-conditioned room on wheels, which serves as the perfect retreat for those who want their puff, without affecting the sensibilities of non-smokers, says a company release.

    Godfrey Phillips, senior vice president, corporate affairs Sundeep Kumar said, “This industry first initiative keeps in mind the sensitivities of the non-smoker and intends to instill the spirit of coexistence and responsible smoking. This initiative is a part of the company’s efforts to induce smokers to recognize and respect the sensitivities of non-smokers. Without encroaching on the space enjoyed by non-smokers, these air-conditioned mobile smoking lounges are a perfect blend of utility and concern.”
     
     

    The cigarettes will be available for purchase at the lounge, even non-buyers can use the facility. And this will encourage smokers to be responsible about their habit and increase sympathy for the non-smoker. Initially Godfrey Phillips will place MSLs in high footfall areas like Crossroads, Phoenix Mills and Imax.

    Mumbai is the third state to see the MSL, following Ahmedabad and then Delhi, where it was received excellently both by smokers as well as non-smokers.
