  • Colors Tamil premieres blockbuster hit Rajamagal for Tamil New Year

    Mumbai: On the auspicious occasion of the Tamil New Year, Colors Tamil, Viacom18’s Tamil entertainment channel, brings to you the World Television Premiere of ‘Rajamagal’.

    The captivating family drama that celebrates the unique bond between fathers and daughters, features Aadukalam Murugadoss as the father (Mathy) and Baby Prithiksha as the daughter (Kanmani). Begin your new year with the entire family on  14 April (Friday) from 2pm onwards.

    Written and directed by Henry I, the film also features Bagavathi Perumal and Velina in supporting cast roles. It is produced by Moonwalk Pictures and the melodies are composed by Shankar Rangarajan.

    Fascinated by her friend’s mansion, Kanmani asks her father to buy her a similar one, believing that he will fulfil her wish at any cost. Unwilling to disappoint his daughter, Mathy embarks on the mission, making the turn of events such a fascinating watch and a super hit family drama.

    Due to the name change, BARC will start monitoring the channel afresh from April 1st.

    During the changeover, ratings for News 1st Kannada will be temporarily paused.

    This pause will be for a period of six to eight weeks starting 1 April, 2023.

    Post six to eight weeks, ratings will resume like before.

  • Tips Music expand offerings in Tamil Nadu market with new strategic plans

    Mumbai: Tips Music (Tips Industries Limited), India’s music label, has announced its ambitious growth plans for FY24, revamping its focus on strategically expanding the regional content offerings. As part of these growth plans, the company is targeting to achieve approximately 30 per cent y-o-y top line growth for the next three years.

    The company has reaffirmed its commitment to the South Indian film music industry by acquiring the audio rights of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film series, Ponniyin Selvan: I (PS-1) and Ponniyin Selvan: 2 (PS-2).     26 April- Novoland: Eagle Flag

  • Adipurush makers unveil poster on Ram Navami

    Mumbai: With the gleam of lights and echo of the chants, the makers of ‘Adipurush’ release the glorious poster of the film on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. The poster depicts Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Shesh, and Devdatta Nage bowing down to them as Bajrang.   • Maya CARE wins the Best CSR Project Film Award

    Mumbai: Maya CARE, a charitable foundation that provides free assistance to the elderly and is entirely managed by a team of emerging leaders who have overcome disabilities, has won the Best CSR Project Film Award at the second edition of the Socio Corpo CSR Film Festival. The award was presented at the prestigious film festival at the Ramee International Hotel in Pune on Saturday, 18 March.

    On behalf of Maya CARE, the award was received by Archana Joshi, a wheelchair user proudly representing Maya CARE’s Project Bindu, Mahesh Kulkarni, who have been serving the elderly for over a decade of his association with Maya CARE and 84-year-old Maya CARE director Dr Suresh Gokhale.

    The award-winning film showcased the inspiring story of Abhijit Mali,  who met with an accident which rendered him a paraplegic, and how he overcame a paralyzing accident to become a Project Coordinator with Maya CARE Maharashtra through their Project Bindu initiative.

    Project Bindu (which means “focus” in Sanskrit) is an empowering initiative that recruits persons with no work experience/relevant skills and are suffering  from hearing/visual/orthopaedic/neural/learning disabilities. Project Bindu offers intensive training, mentoring and paid internships to enhance their self-esteem and independence, transforming them into economically independent professionals who join the ever growing leadership team of Maya CARE or embrace the opportunity to work with other employers like Indigo Airlines.

    “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and Project Bindu, who have shown that despite their disabilities, they can make a meaningful impact in our society. There is a sentence from this film, which is pertinent – Abhijit and others like him, irrespective of race/religion/culture, face the same sense of despondence, of being dependent on others, asking them for help all the time. But with the work they do at Maya CARE, they tell us that they feel pride, at being able to help thousands of elderly across the world, who bless them for their effort!” said  Maya CARE co-founder Abhay Joshi.
