    The excitement surrounding Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, “Jawan,” is reaching new heights. From the captivating preview to the mesmerising soundtrack, audiences are being treated to a multitude of emotions. The impressive wall art, crafted in collaboration with talented artist Kanak Nanda, captures the essence of “Jawan” through intricate designs, vibrant colors and dynamic visuals & the mural is set to become a visual landmark, capturing the attention of passersby and movie enthusiasts alike.

Helmed by director Nimrod Antal, this action thriller will see Liam Neeson go through a range of emotions as he is stuck in a sticky situation, one that he must fight tooth and nail to get out of. Surrounded and backed into a corner, Liam must find a way to protect his kids and save his own life. With the clock ticking, can he find a way out?

    Drishyam Films presents an unconventional psychological thriller Tamso

    Mumbai: The spotlight is set to shine on the captivating world of horror as Drishyam Film’s Tamso also called Suburban Tales, makes its highly anticipated debut at the prestigious Fantastic Fest in USA. Directed by Stephen Alexander, the film is produced by Rashmi Somvanshi (July Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd.)  and presented by Drishyam Films, which has earlier given us masterpieces like Aankho Dekhi, Masaan, Dhanak, Newton that have been internationally recognised at renowned film festivals like Cannes and Berlin.

    Tamso, meaning ‘from darkness’, derived from Sanskrit, delves into the depths of the human psyche within the backdrop of a family wedding. The estranged daughter, Radhika, portrayed by Rashmi Somvanshi, is compelled to return home, only to be confronted with an unforeseen twist. The youngest family member, Deepu, is taken over by an enigmatic entity during the wedding preparations. As the family grapples with the inexplicable possession, secrets buried within the family’s history resurface, causing an unsettling cascade of events. As reality merges with fantasy, Radhika embarks on a journey to confront her past and unearth the darkness that has long haunted her family.

    IMDb announces new ‘Preferred Services’ feature on iOS and Android

    Mumbai: IMDb has announced the release of new features to the IMDb app to help customers get the most out of their streaming subscriptions. With the launch of ‘Preferred Services,’ a new feature that helps entertainment fans navigate the expansive world of streaming services, customers can set a list of the streaming platforms they subscribe to, so the app can prioritise the ‘Where to Watch’ information from those providers for each customer.  

    This enhances the IMDb app ‘What to Watch’ and ‘Where to Watch’ features that help customers navigate the vast streaming and entertainment landscape in the following ways: 

    1.  IMDb currently supports the biggest streaming platforms in India and is working towards getting an exhaustive set of providers onboarded on our Watchbar to ensure a great customer experience. Customers in India today can already see ‘Where to Watch’ information from a wide set of platforms, including Hotstar, JioCinema, MX Player, Netflix, Prime Video, SonyLIV, Sun NXT, TVFPlay, Voot, Voot Kids, and Zee5. 

    2.  After setting their preferred services, customers will have instant access to custom entertainment recommendations right from the IMDb app home screen. Also new is a ‘Trending on your services’ feature to help customers see what movies and TV shows are trending high on the streaming services they use most, and an ‘Explore what’s streaming’ feature that tracks what’s trending on all providers. For users, this means less scrolling and more time enjoying entertainment with friends, as a family, or on their own. 

    3.  When a customer is interested in a title, they can go to that title page on IMDb to see if it’s playing in theatres or streaming on any platform. If the title is streaming on multiple platforms, the Watchbar will also highlight the preferred service it’s on.  

    4.  If a title interests a customer, they can add it to their Watchlist, which is a great place to track the movies and TV shows they want to watch. They can access all their Watchlisted titles easily from the homepage, or from their profile. They can sort their Watchlist by title, IMDb rating, or popularity, and arrange their titles in the order they want to see them. With the launch of the ‘Preferred Services’ feature, customers can now also filter their Watchlist by content that is available to stream on their preferred services. 

    5.  Customers can now also see how many fans have added a particular title to their Watchlist, signaling interest around a title or fandom that they might be interested in. 

    6.  Customers will receive push notifications when titles related to their Watchlists or Favourites are entering or leaving streaming, coming into theatres, or becoming available to rent and/or purchase. They will also be notified if a new episode of a Watchlisted web series is airing that evening in their locale, and when a new trailer from a Watchlisted title becomes available.

    Mumbai: The International Indian Film Academy and Awards (IIFA) has rescheduled its 23rd edition. Previously, it was scheduled to take place in February 2023 in Abu Dhabi. The two-day event will now take place on 26 and 27 May, 2023.

    For the seventh consecutive year, Nexa remains the official title sponsor of the IIFA Awards.

    Existing ticket holders will receive updated tickets automatically for the new dates. They may also request a refund by sending an email to the relevant ticketing platform from which the transaction was made within 10 working days.

    With immediate effect, ticket sales for the revised dates will resume on etihadarena.ae and platinumlist.net.

    Mumbai: AmpliX is an innovative seat-integrated sound technology that offers a 360-degree spherical audio experience on cinema seats.

    Launched by multiplex chain operator Inox Leisure Ltd. (Inox) on Thursday, AmpliX, a premium sound format (PSF) technology, was installed in audi 5 at the Inox Megaplex at Inorbit Mall Malad, Mumbai.

    Inox also intends to equip its planned theatres in Indore and New Delhi with AmpliX technology. Patrons of Inox can experience the show by choosing the AmpliX seats and following the standard ticket ordering process.

    Speaking about the newly launched premium sound format technology – AmpliX, Inox Leisure Ltd. chief executive officer Alok Tandon said, “Constant innovations have helped us to remain ahead of the technology curve and have allowed us to offer unique and exceptionally superior experiences to our patrons. As we roll out this state-of-the-art audio innovation for the first time in India, we are ensuring an unmatchable cinema sound experience that creates a 360-degree audio field with sound emanating from the seats, which also enables the skin to be a part of the audio reception process.”

    AmpliX is a cutting-edge audio format that uses binaural technology to create a surround field for a fully immersive movie-watching experience. Customers can enjoy a 3D audio effect with AmpliX from their seats, which activates the mechanoreceptors in their bodies and produces a dynamic and organic acoustic feeling. The system also uses an algorithm to coordinate the on-screen audio, creating a magical auditory experience.

    With the use of this ground-breaking technology, Inox customers will be able to hear incredibly minute audio elements in any movie, creating a mesmerising experience.
