NEW YORK: For those selling DirecTV and have customers begging for a digital video recorder in their home theatres, there’s a contest that could win some big prizes from Metron North America.
According to the contest rules and regulations, when retailers/dealers purchase a Philips DSR7000 DirecTV DVR from Metron, they will receive an entry in a draw for a free flat-screen plasma television. A press release says that this is a chance for retailers to enhance their own personal home theatre, they can start selling TiVo units to better the odds of winning.
Dealers who purchase the DSR7000 from 1 July 2003 until 31 Aug 2003 will also receive other prizes depending on the number of units purchased from Metron. Other prizes to be won include: 10 units – James Bond DVD Gift Pack or $50 credit, 50 units – two DVD players, 100 units – one DVD recorder, 500 units – one big screen TV and 1,000 units – one plasma TV.
