    Gillette India Ltd. appoints Srividya Srinivasan as its chief financial officer

    Mumbai: Gillette India Ltd announced the appointment of Srividya Srinivasan as the company’s chief financial officer effective 1 November 2024. Srividya is taking over the role from Gautam Kamath, who will  be moving onwards to his new assignment as vice president – corporate strategy in the P&G Global Headquarter.

    Srividya brings a diverse and rich experience in various finance roles across a career spanning 19 years. She joined P&G  in 2005 in the United States of America and has since worked across various roles delivering outstanding results for  several P&G businesses as well as serving various markets, including USA, Latin America, Philippines. An alumnus of  Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, Srividya currently is the vice president & head of global business  services and global external reporting in P&G Philippines.  

    Speaking about her new role, Srividya Srinivasan said, “I am thrilled and deeply humbled to kickstart the next phase of  my journey with P&G and coming back to India. This role is a never-before opportunity for me, to work with various  stakeholders to bring our integrated growth strategy to life and contribute towards delighting our consumers with  superior propositions and growing our business.     Mumbai: Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI) has appointed Atsushi Takase as managing director, effective 1 October 2024. With over 36 years at Mitsubishi Electric, Takase has held notable roles, including deputy managing director at MEI and vice president of the transportation systems division in the USA, where he led major projects such as for the New York City Subway. His expertise spans transportation systems and global strategic planning.

    In his new role, Takase aims to enhance MEI’s operational efficiency, promote sustainable growth, and address social issues through business initiatives aligned with the ‘Make in India’ program. Drawing on his market knowledge, he will work to foster innovation and create value for stakeholders.

    Mumbai: Mitali Srivastava Hough has bid farewell to McCann Worldgroup, stepping down from her role as senior VP and head of planning for the Mumbai office.

    With over 25 years of experience, Hough has worked with leading agencies like DDB Mudra, Ogilvy & Mather, Famous Innovations, and TBWA India. Notably, she was the first planner in Indian advertising to co-found an agency, Utopeia Communicationz, followed by another venture, Equal, specializing in CSR solutions.

    While keeping her future plans intentionally enigmatic, Mitali hinted at her intent to mentor her creative consultancy – The Equal Agency and continue advising various other agencies. “I am deeply grateful for the experiences and relationships I’ve built at McCann. My time there was short but I got the opportunity to work with Prasoon Joshi and some incredible talent and clients across various industries. As I look ahead, I feel a sense of excitement to push my boundaries further. It’s the right moment to explore new horizons, take on new challenges, and pursue my passions in ways I haven’t yet imagined. I look forward to continuing my journey through mentoring and consultancy work, and I’m eager to bring my energy into new collaborations,” she shared.

    In addition to her consultancy work, she is diving into a collaboration with musical maestro AR Rahman, where she will be contributing as a writer on a major project that is an amalgamation of creativity and technology. This partnership, along with her other ventures, marks a new phase in her career, where she will continue to explore the intersection of creativity, strategy, and passion in new and unexpected ways.

Before Zoreko, he oversaw the marketing department at Nisa Experience-EKAA and KMC. He played a key role in Ekaa, one of Nisa Experience’s restaurants, being included in Asia’s 50 best restaurants. He had previously directed growth and strategy from a business-to-business (B2B) standpoint at Eazydiner and Dineout.

    Vikram Sakhuja to be conferred with AAAI Lifetime Achievement Award 2024

    Mumbai: The Advertising Agencies Association of India has announced that Vikram Sakhuja will receive the AAAI Lifetime Achievement Award for 2024. This prestigious honour recognises outstanding contributions to the advertising industry in India.

    Vikram Sakhuja, an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta, has nearly 40 years of experience with major companies such as P&G, Coca-Cola, Star TV, WPP, and Madison. He started his career as a DCM Management Trainee in 1984 and joined P&G in 1988, focusing on marketing research and media. He then moved to Coca-Cola to manage brand marketing for five years, followed by a role as EVP Marketing at Star TV. In 2001, he joined WPP and became the first Indian Global CEO of a global advertising and media agency. Currently, Vikram is the equity partner and group CEO of Madison.

    His leadership roles have included overseeing Mindshare and GroupM South Asia, chairing FICCI’s advertising & marketing committee, and serving on the boards of key industry bodies like BARC and AAAI. Recognised as one of the most influential figures in the media industry, he has frequently appeared on the Economic Times’ list of prominent individuals and has spoken at forums like the World Economic Forum.

    Vikram has played a significant role in driving business growth and innovation, leading to the introduction of new practices in mobile, social media, and content at GroupM. He has been instrumental in launching brands such as Ariel, Sprite, and IPL, and in developing research initiatives like BASES and the Conversion Model. His efforts transformed GroupM into an award-winning leader, consistently securing over 50 per cent of industry awards. Vikram has also contributed to establishing India’s first Media AOR and has pioneered numerous media practices that have shaped the advertising landscape in the country.

    The AAAI Lifetime Achievement Award is presented annually to an individual with at least 25 years in advertising, who has held a top management position, actively participated in industry bodies, and made significant contributions to shaping industry priorities for growth and professionalism. The recipient is recognized for integrity, ethical practices, leadership qualities, and innovative thinking that contributed to their company’s growth. They should also be involved in socially significant projects and serve as a role model in the industry.

    Past winners of this award include Subhas Ghosal, Alyque Padamsee, Mike Khanna, R K Swamy, Piyush Pandey, Sam Balsara, Prem Mehta, Roda Mehta, Ram Sehgal, Madhukar Kamath, Arvind Sharma, and Colvyn Harris, among others.

    Ghosh began his career in 1993, spending a decade at prominent firms like ICICI, Reliance, and Rabo India before joining Yes Bank as Group President in 2004. At Yes Bank, he led the bank’s Corporate and Development Banking Charter and was recognized as a Professional Co-Founder for his pivotal role in establishing one of India’s most successful mid-sized banks. By the time he departed in 2012, Ghosh managed over ₹40,000 crore of the bank’s assets and contributed to over 50% of its profits.

    Driven by a passion for the startup ecosystem, Ghosh established the SEBI-registered Contrarian Vriddhi Fund in 2013 and made seed investments in 12 startups, including Pratilipi, Progcap, Signzy, Squadstack, and Minjar.

    In addition to his role at Gemba Capital, Ghosh serves on the Investment Committee of Motilal Oswal Real Estate Fund. He earned his MBA from FMS (Delhi) and is an Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard University in the USA.
