    BC Web Wise appoints Alabhya Vaibhav as creative director

    MUMBAI: Digital Agency BC Web Wise has appointed Alabhya Vaibhav as creative director for their Mumbai operations.

     

    He moves to BC Web Wise from Ogilvy & Mather where he was associate creative director.

     

    Vaibhav’s primary role will be to bring his traditional agency learnings on board and work together with the creative team at BC Web Wise to up the creative quotient. He will bringing in a fresh perspective for the agency in areas such as content, social, experiential, and overall creative output.

    MUMBAI: GroupM’s Motivator has appointed Rajiv Khurana as national head – business development and partnerships.

     

    Additionally, he has also been named as the general manager – North for Motivator.
     
    Khurana will be responsible for building business development programs and identify strategic business verticals and categories that Motivator local offices can take forward.
     
    In his role as national head, Khurana will report to Motivator MD Rabe Iyer, whereas in his capacity as general manager, he will report to Motivator chief growth officer V Narayanan.
     
    Iyer said, “Motivator leanings are towards delivering the business performance for our clients, Rajiv fits that line of thinking very well both, with his varied experience and his ability to lead change. We are looking forward to his addition on the team.”

    Reliance Jio’s Nikhil Rungta joins Housing.com as CMO

    MUMBAI: Reliance Jio senior vice president – marketing Nikhil Rungta as joined real estate giant Housing.com as chief marketing officer.

     

    Rungta replaces Pratik Seal, who resigned from his post in September this year.

     

    Prior to Reliance Jio, Rungta served as the CMO for Google in India for four years. He also played key business leadership roles at start-ups like Yebhi and Yatra.com.

     

    Housing.com chief business officer Jason Kothari said, “Nikhil is one of India’s leading marketers who has achieved remarkable success during his career. For the last two decades, he has worked in leadership roles across sales, marketing and e-commerce with both multinationals and start-ups.     MUMBAI: Lowe veteran Joseph George, who is currently Mullen Lowe Lintas Group India group CEO has been given the additional responsibility to South & Southeast Asia regions. 

     

    George will report to Mullen Lowe Group global CEO Alex Leikikh.

     

    George said, “I’m absolutely thrilled by the challenge of taking on an additional leadership role within the APAC region for the Mullen Lowe Group. Having worked within the network for over two decades, I clearly love the spirit: distinctive, entrepreneurial, collaborative and creative.”

     

    George has been with the Lowe network for 24 years – joining Lintas Mumbai in 1991 and spending the next 15 years between the Mumbai and Bangalore offices. He took over as the head of the Unilever business in 2006, and successfully led the growth of that business and a few specialist marketing services divisions until his appointment as deputy CEO in June 2010, and subsequently as CEO in January 2011.

     

    Leikikh added, “Joe is exactly the leader we need as part of our hugely dynamic Asia operation – he is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of growth. A key component of his role will focus on tapping into the resources of the robust India operation that he has built up in order to develop our hyperbundled offering across the Southeast Asia markets.”

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Aegis Network’s full-service digital agency Isobar India has roped in Praveen Raj as creative director – West & South.

     

    As part his new mandate, Raj will be responsible for Isobar’s creative teams in Mumbai and Bangalore.

     

    In his new role, Raj will report to Isobar group creative director Anish Varghese and will also be part of the Isobar creative council, which will include creative Varghese and Isobar India director – North Anadi Sah. The council will lead Isobar’s creative vision into 2016 and beyond.

     

    Isobar India managing director Shamsuddin Jasani said, “The creative wing of Isobar is the heart and soul of the agency and I am very happy that Praveen has joined us to strengthen an already strong creative team. Before joining AgencyDigi, he spent four years with OgilvyOne Worldwide fronting businesses for several top brands like Vodafone, Diageo, Emirates and Disney.

     

    During his three-year stint with Hungry & Foolish Intellectual Properties, Raj was involved in creating advertising for Kamasutra and Lenovo apart from crafting several other independent creative products.

    MUMBAI: Snapdeal has appointed Anup Vikal as the chief financial officer (CFO).

     

    A seasoned finance professional Vikal brings over 23 years of experience in finance, strategy and corporate governance across multiple industry sectors.

     

    Prior to his appointment at Snapdeal, he served as CFO at Aircel, where he was responsible for building business through revenue growth, implementing massive cost optimisation, restructuring of debt and capital, improving the Credit Rating of the company as well as interfacing with the government, TRAI and other authorities. 

     

    Before joining Aircel, Vikal was the group CFO and head of strategy and IT at InterGlobe Enterprises. Earlier, he also served as director and head of finance shared services for Colt Technology for three years and Bharti Airtel where he headed the finance division for close to seven years.

     

    Snapdeal co-founder and CEO Kunal Bahl said, “We are very excited to have Anup on-board. His wealth of experience in building and executing the financial infrastructure in companies across complex large organisations in the country will further strengthen our leadership team.”

    MUMBAI: Grey group India has appointed Salil Inamdar as the national head for digital content and creative, based in the Bangalore office.

     

    Inamdar joins from Interactive Avenues, where he was heading digital creative and content.

     

    He will spearhead his capabilities across all areas of digital communications for clients who avail digital services. Alongside he will also oversee work across all Grey group India offices.

     

    Inamdar will report to the agency’s president – digital services Leroy Alvares on the digital business and client needs; and creatively to chief creative officer Sandipan Bhattacharyya.

     

    Bhattacharyya said, “Salil straddles rich experiences across digital, television and mainline and that’s what makes him just right for re-purposing the digital offering at Grey. He will also be instrumental in pushing our mandate of famously effective integrated ideas that are served up in the consumers’ medium of choice.”

    She joins from Interspace Solutions, where she worked as national head – retail and customer engagement.
