    Roposo appoints Anand Jha and Saurabh Khullar

    MUMBAI: India’s fashion social network Roposo has strengthened its leadership ranks with the appointments of Anand Jha as the Head of Design and Saurabh Khullar as the Head of Sales.

    Speaking on the appointments, Roposo co-founder Avinash Saxena said, “Roposo has had a phenomenal growth story so far. As we prepare to helm the company into its next level of evolution, we are pleased to welcome Saurabh and Anand on board to lead the key divisions of Sales and Design. Both bring tremendous experience and dynamism along with years of rich industry experience. We are certain that their contributions to the Roposo growth narrative will be significant and that they will be a perfect synergistic match for our existing team.”

    At Roposo, Jha will look after the entire user interface and user experience.

    MUMBAI: The Advertising Club, Bangalore has elected Maxus South India and South Asia managing partner Sanchayeeta Verma as the President of the club. Verma has taken over the mantle from Malavika Harita of Saatchi & Saatchi Focus Network.

    Verma started off her career with the TTK group in 1994. She exudes over 22 years of rich experience in advertising, marketing, media and communications and has worked across various industry sectors. Verma has been associated with Ad Club since the last 3 years.

    Speaking about her upcoming plans for Bangalore Ad Club, Verma said, “Bangalore has a perfect balance of seasoned thought-leaders with an increasing number of dynamic, young and fresh talent which I would like to capitalize through our new initiatives at the club. We are gearing up for our biggest annual award night – The Big Bang awards which recognizes the creative excellence in media and communications. We also plan to introduce events which will go beyond work into play and collaborate all our members. Some of the initiatives in the pipeline are incentivizing Ad Club members to bring in some leading rock bands for members-only nights and a gaming event to bring out the gamer in every one of us.”

    Apart from Verma, Sonia Serrao from Tata Global Beverages, Akshar Peerbhoy of Maa Communications and Nidhi Lall of Saatchi Focus Network are the new additions to the Managing Committee of the Club.

    The registrations for Big Bang Awards 2016 have already started and last date to submit entries is August 5, 2016. Keeping in mind the changing media scenario, many categories have been added this year especially in the digital, strategy and data spaces.

    MUMBAI: Publicis Communications India CEO Nakul Chopra has been elected president of Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) for the year 2016-2017 at its Annual General Body Meeting. This comes after he successfully served as the chairman of Goafest Organising Committee for year 2016.

    Following this announcement, AAAI also selected Dentsu Aegis Network south Asia CEO and chairman Ashish Bhasin as the vice-president of the association.

    Hari Krishnan is new Lowe Lintas president – South

    MUMBAI: Lowe Lintas has announced that Hari Krishnan is the new president of its South operations. This appointment comes on the back of GV Krishnan’s recent exit.

    To be based out of Bengaluru, his remit includes the agency’s offices in Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. As the largest creative agency in South region, the portfolio includes over a 100 clients and brands such as Arvind, Britannia, Fastrack, Flipkart, Gold Drop, Hike, ITC Foods, MRF, Mobizz, Paperboat, Sonata, Tanishq, TI Cycles, TVS Motors and many other companies and brands.

    Krishnan, currently CEO of MullenLowe’s operations in Sri Lanka is in the process of transitioning into his new role.

    He had joined MullenLowe early 2015 from Grey India where he was heading their South operations.

    Hari has about 20 years of experience in the advertising and media industry; having spent most of it between Lowe Lintas, JWT, Star TV and Grey.

    Commenting on his move, MullenLowe Lintas Group, India Group CEO Joseph George said:“Hari has done an incredible job in Sri Lanka almost transforming our operations there overnight. Going by his track record across the agencies he has worked in, he is just the right person we need to build on the fantastic momentum that the South operations of Lowe Lintas have achieved over the past 3-4 years in terms of creative product and new business acquisition. Both of which, Hari is rabidly passionate about.”

    Hari Krishnan too added, “This is a homecoming of sorts for me since my association with Lowe Lintas almost 18 years ago started in the Bengaluru office. The India operations of Lowe Lintas has been on an unbelievable roll the past few years and my mandate is clear. The talent in our 3 offices in the South, especially the creative fire-power under Rajesh Ramaswamy’s leadership is just reassuringly and intimidatingly brilliant. Can’t wait to get started!”

    Speaking of succession for MullenLowe Sri Lanka, Joseph George said, “Our Sri Lanka operations are in a sweet spot thanks to all the efforts made in the past 18 months under Hari’s leadership and some fantastic clients. And we are perfectly poised to build on from here; which is why Hari’s replacement for the Sri Lanka CEO’s role is crucial; and so I am very pleased with whom we have found. The announcement will take place in a few days.”
