    Anita Karnik is new SVP at Sniper

    MUMBAi: In line with its recent senior management restructuring, The 120 Media Collective has brought in former Mindshare principal partner, Anita Karnik, as the senior vice-president and business head for Sniper, the commercials & content production arm of the company.

    She takes over from Chahna Rupani, and will report to the founder and CEO Roopak Saluja.

    The announcement comes shortly after the appointments of Kaizad Pardiwalla as president, and Abinandan Bose as creative director respectively, for Jack in the Box Worldwide, the company’s integrated communications agency.

    Commenting on joining Sniper, Karnik said, “I am delighted to join Sniper, which has always been a front runner (in its erstwhile Bang Bang Film days and thereafter as Sniper itself) in the business of Content – spanning commercials and multiscreen content. I look forward to creating some more magic, especially in this ‘Lean-in’ era.”

    MUMBAI: Gionee India has promoted Deepika Singh as the director for marketing communications. Singh has been heading the company’s important communications and corporate affairs portfolio for the last one and a half years.

    Singh, along with managing and directing company’s internal and external communications, will also support the company’s brand building initiatives and sales growth across regions.

    Singh’s elevation comes at a time when Gionee is looking to aggressively push its current market share of five per cent upwards. Singh’s role is intended to augment the core team in strengthening brand communications and build preference and loyalty for Gionee among a fast increasing customer base. As part of Gionee’s concerted push to foster community connect, Singh will also be responsible for spearheading the company’s CSR initiatives, developing appropriate social responsibility goals and metrics and overseeing their implementation.

    MUMBAI: Former GroupM executive Shan Jain has joined Publicis MediaIndia as the head of business transformation practice. Jain’s last stint was with GroupM, as Principal Partner, Client Leadership at Mindshare.

    Jain comes with more than 24 years of rich and diverse experience across Media, Account Planning, Strategy and Account management and has worked with Mindshare, RK Swamy BBDO, The Media Edge, FCB Ulka, Lowe, McCann and Ogilvy. Some of the key clients she has led and contributed to are HUL Personal Care, HUL Foods and beverage, GSK, ITC, Maruti and Gillete. She is passionate about brands and consumer journeys and has to her credit multiple awards including Spikes and Festival of Media Asia and Festival of Media Global. While it is a national role, she will be based out of Gurgaon.

    MUMBAI: iProspect India, the digital agency from Dentsu Aegis Network, has appointed Rubeena Singh as its CEO effective this December, as its former CEO Vivek Bhargava is being elevated to a larger role of CEO of DAN Performance Group.

    An industry veteran, Kaizad started his career with Lowe Lintas and went on to hold leadership positions with Ogilvy & Mather, where he was National Head of OgilvyOne India, before joining Grey as Branch Head – Mumbai and subsequently moving to Orchard. In his career spanning over two decades, Kaizad has worked with brands such as Amazon, Wipro, Viacom 18, American Express, Cadbury, CISCO, Unilever, The Economist, Fiat, Ferrero and Vodafone, amongst others.
