    Dentsu Aegis Network appoints Cheuk Chiang to lead Greater North business in APAC

    MUMBAI:  Dentsu Aegis Network announces the appointment of Cheuk Chiang to the role of CEO, Greater North, Dentsu Aegis Network APAC, effective 2 December. Based in Shanghai, China, and reporting to Ashish Bhasin, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network APAC, Cheuk will oversee Dentsu Aegis Network China, Dentsu Aegis Network Hong Kong, Dentsu Aegis Network Taiwan and Dentsu Aegis Network Korea. He will also join the Dentsu Aegis Network APAC Executive team.

    The appointment follows the announcement of the simplified three-cluster structure in March this year, which was put in place to further operationalise our markets, giving them the autonomy to react to client needs. This allows our businesses to deliver more strategic and market-specific initiatives at pace and scale.

    Cheuk takes over from Takaki Hibino who was overseeing Greater North in the interim. He will now focus on his role as Executive Chairman, Dentsu Aegis Network APAC.

    MUMBAI: COZMIC Group today announced the appointment of Carl Sequeira as Country Manager for India. Sequeira will be based in Mumbai and will lead all of COZMIC Group’s strategic business initiatives and day-to-day operations in India including Z-POP Dream which is in its second year, for which it has just concluded with its Season 2 Auditions in the country.

    Sequeira is a seasoned executive with more than 16 years of experience in marketing, events and driving strategic business growth in the Indian Market. He will report to Swee Sin Wu – Chief Business Officer, COZMIC Group.

Sequeira has a Business Management diploma from Welingkar Institute of Business in Mumbai, and brings a great deal of brand building experience to his position.

    Ogilvy names Shouvik Roy as new head of Ogilvy Delhi

    MUMBAI: Ogilvy has announced the appointment of Shouvik Roy as president & head of office, Ogilvy Delhi. Having over two decades of experience in brand consulting, design, marketing and advertising, Roy will join Ogilvy Delhi on 5 December 2019 and will report to Ogilvy India CEO Kunal Jeswani.

    MUMBAI: Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd has appointed Samudra Bhattacharya as the chief executive officer (CEO) and key managerial personnel (KMP) effective 1 November. Bhattacharya joined the company as COO print business in last July.

    Prior to joining HT Media, he was president of PepsiCo Joint Venture, and was based out of Manila, Philippines from March 2017 to mid-July 2019. Bhattacharya has worked across several roles and geographical locations for the last 24 years. The company updated Bombay Stock Exchange.

    After graduating from the Indian Institute of Management, he started his career with P&G in India, and after four years, joined Asian Paints in the Middle East where he served sales and marketing as well as general management roles for almost seven years.

    The previous CEO and key managerial personnel Rajeev Beotra vide his letter dated 31 October 2019, tendered his resignation as CEO to take on a new role within the company.

FIFA, WORLD CUP’s, WWE, La Liga ,Champions League and SeriaA were some more properties that were helmed during his stint at SPN.

    Prior to SPN, he was with SABTNL where he set up sales operations and also launched successfully SAB TV. Nimbus Communication Pvt Ltd is where he began his TV career.

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN), the global media & marketing communications conglomerate, has roped in Asha Suvarna as chief financial officer (CFO), India. Prior to this, the role was held by erstwhile COO and CFO Anand Bhadkamkar who was promoted to lead the country operations as chief executive officer (CEO) in September this year.

    Armed with more than 20 years of experience in media and advertising, Suvarna is also a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). She joins DAN India from GroupM where she held numerous roles over the years. Prior to this, Asha was Finance Director at GroupM.

    Suvarna will take charge of her new office, effective October 16. In her new role, she will report to Dentsu Aegis Network India CEO Anand Bhadkamkar, and Dentsu Aegis Network CFO Greater South David Neal.
