    Gozoop onboards Sushil Anantharaman as media director

    MUMBAI: Integrated marketing agency Gozoop has onboarded Sushil Anantharaman as media director. Previously, he was associated with Hansa Cequity as the associate director.

    With over 10 years of experience in the digital media workforce, Anantharaman has a detailed understanding of media planning and buying. He has also worked with agencies like Madison, PHD, Maxus, Carat in the past.

    Anantharaman will report to Gozoop CEO & co-founder Ahmed Aftab Naqvi. He will be responsible for media strategies for mandates like EuroSchool, GNC, Ace Blend, Bisleri, 3M, Times Interact & Tata Steel, the agency said in a press statement.

    “Gozoop aligns well with my core belief that everything is constantly evolving and, we, with the aim of being a force in the digital media space, or for that matter just human beings, should also be ready to evolve and constantly keep learning.     New Delhi : Publicis Media’s bespoke unit has named Linu John as the client lead for the Hero MotoCorp unit.

    The platform caters to integrated media offerings, that includes media planning and buying, along with providing content, analytics, and programmatic solutions for Hero MotoCorp. 

    John has 13 years of experience in the media industry, during which she has served esteemed brands like Google, Pepsi, Shell, Nissan, and Samsung, said the agency. She joined Publicis Media’s Zenith India as vice-president in April 2020.  Before joining Publicis Media, she had worked in companies like OMD, Essence, Maxus, Mediacom, Starcom, and Mindshare. 

    “Platform HMCL aims to deliver strong business outcomes and grow brand impact.     NEW DELHI: Publicis Worldwide India has brought on Radhika Burman as vice president – strategic planning. She will be based out of New Delhi and will report into BBH-Publicis Worldwide India MD & chief strategy officer Sanjay Sharma.

    In her role, Burman will lead the strategy mandate for the New Delhi office, spearheading the strategic planning function for existing clients as well as driving growth through new business for the region. She will play a crucial role in the agency’s growth ambitions with an objective to deliver solutions driven by a well-rounded view on consumer insights that can be translated into powerful and actionable brand insights.

Prior to that, she has worked at FCB and JWT and was part of the strategic planning team that worked on brands such as Zee, PepsiCo, Hero, and Cargill among others.

    NEW DELHI: Multinational confectionery maker Mars Wrigley has elevated Varun Kandhari to the post of director – marketing and customer marketing for India. He has been with the organisation for seven years, is based in the Gurugram office and succeeds Yogesh Tewari.

    Kandhari joined Mars Chocolate Business in September 2014 as senior brand manager and was subsequently promoted to marketing manager – chocolates for Mars Wrigley business in October 2017.

    In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the marketing and customer marketing functions for Mars Wrigley India across all categories.

    NEW DELHI: India-based online learning platform MyCaptain has onboarded Ajay Dev Singh as vice president of marketing and customer acquisition.

    Prior to MyCaptain, Singh was also the head of marketing and digital strategy at Basic First learning where he spearheaded a revenue of Rs 250 crores in 18 months, and then with Reliance as the vice president of media and entertainment. His hiring comes with the appointment of VPs in other departments as well.

    MUMBAI: Martech start-up Wondrlab has appointed Jateen Kore as its digital head. He will be based in Mumbai and report to Wondrlab co-founder & managing partner – content platform Rakesh Hinduja.

    Kore joins from IDFC First Bank where he was the head – digital marketing. At Wondrlab, he has been tasked with setting up the digital practice and bringing forth the agency’s platform-first approach to help brands win on digital.

    MUMBAI: Madison Media Plus media director K Suresh Kumar passed away due to Covid2019 on Saturday, the media agency said in a statement. Kumar, who operated out of Madison Media’s Delhi office, had been with the company since November 2018.  

    The agency expressed condolences in a post on professional networking site LinkedIn:

    “We are shocked and saddened to share the news of our K Suresh Kumar (media director from Madison Media Delhi office) who succumbed to Covid on Saturday night.

    He has been a part of the Madison family for many years and contributed wholeheartedly to the success of Madison Media.

    May his soul rest in peace. Our heartfelt condolences to his family.”

    NEW DELHI: Publicis Groupe’s global marketing and technology services brand Digitas has appointed Abhishek Chaturvedi as senior vice president and head of planning. He will report to Digitas India chief operating officer Sonia Khurana.

    Chaturvedi is a seasoned advertising professional who has more than 18 years of experience managing key strategy related positions across leading advertising agencies. At Digitas India, he will play a vital role in assisting brands and businesses to leverage the agency’s comprehensive data, technology, creative, media and strategy capabilities and proprietary planning processes and effectively drive strategic growth and direction for the agency.

    Previously, Chaturvedi was with McCann Worldgroup as vice president. He held a similar profile at Ogilvy and Grey Group where he led planning for some of the leading brands across categories including Dabur, Marico, GSK, Colgate Palmolive, Voltas, BMW, Eicher, Hero Motocorp, Mahindra B2C & B2B, Wal-Mart, Max Life and some government and non-profit organisations.
