  • Eupheus Learning appoints Kapil Chanana as Chief Growth Officer

    New Delhi: Eupheus Learning on Monday appointed Kapil Chanana as the chief growth officer for the company.

    Chanana previously served as director marketing activations, Coca-Cola India and South-West Asia from 2011 to 2021. He has more than 25 years of experience in the FMCG, Education, and Advertising sectors.

  • Gaurav Jain elevated as head of Reckitt India

    Mumbai: In a top deck restructuring, Reckitt India has elevated Gaurav Jain as the head of the hygiene unit, along with the health unit. Jain has been heading its health unit in India since 2017. 

    Accordingly, this new development makes him the chief of the company’s India business. Jain has been named senior VP, South Asia, with all business units across the region reporting to him.

    “Our health and hygiene business units have been brought under one focused leadership team. Gaurav Jain is the senior vice president, South Asia for Reckitt,” said a Reckitt India spokesperson, confirming the top management rejig.

    “Health and hygiene business units have been brought under one focused leadership team, to optimise the potential of the complementary nature of products spread over the Dettol, Lysol, and Harpic businesses,” said the spokesperson.

    This focused approach will help enhance synergies, align business strategy & execution consequently improving performance, she further added.

    Reckitt’s health unit houses brands such as Dettol, Veet, Durex, Strepsils, while its hygiene home business includes Harpic, Lysol, Mortein, and more.

    However, the spokesperson for the conglomerate clarified that the health and hygiene business units have not merged and will be operated independently. “This focused approach will help enhance synergies, align business strategy and execution,” she said.

  • 1702 Digital promotes Pranay Bhan to national creative director

    New Delhi: Integrated digital marketing company, 1702 Digital has promoted Pranay Bhan to the role of national creative director.

    Bhan will be responsible for elevating the creative wing of the agency and grooming mid-level talent along the way. The promotion comes on the heels of some successful campaigns like the Fortune Xpert and Superfood Khichdi launches, Edelweiss Tokio Life campaigns, Marico Cocosoul Influencer campaigns, Smaaash Video campaign, and new business growth under his supervision as the associate creative director, the agency said in a statement.

  • Nivea India appoints Ajay Simha as marketing director

    New Delhi: Nivea India on Wednesday appointed Ajay Simha as the marketing director. Simha was earlier responsible for the Nivea body care and cleansing and baby care portfolio across the Middle East and North Africa.

    He has over 15 years of overall experience in the field of sales and marketing, across various categories including personal care, male grooming, face, lip and sun care. “Simha’s leadership will help strengthen Nivea’s position as Emerging India’s most loved and trusted skin care brand. With a deep rooted understanding and a proven track record of driving growth, Simha is slated to enhance Nivea’s brand presence and equity in the country”, the company said in a press statement.

  • Havas Group India appoints Anjali Gupte as CFO

    Mumbai: Havas Group India has appointed Anjali Gupte as chief financial officer, further bolstering its senior leadership team. Based out of Mumbai, Gupte will report to Havas Group India CEO Rana Barua and also Asia Pacific Group CFO Brice Pinoncely.

    Gupte has over two decades of experience across industries spanning advertising, financial services, manufacturing and real estate. In her previous role as CFO at Grey Group, she oversaw financial operations of the agency’s creative, digital and activation businesses in South Asia and was responsible for driving profitable growth across India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

    Prior to Grey, she worked at Thomson Reuters for 17 years in the financial risk division. She is also an Independent director on the Board of Astec LifeSciences Limited, part of the Godrej group, where she also had a four-year stint.

  • Marcom firm Tute Consult hires Shweta Mehrotra as Strategy Head

    New Delhi: Integrated marcom and PR agency Tute Consult on Tuesday strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Shweta Mehrotra as the strategy head.

    Mehrotra will be working closely with Tute Consult founder Komal Lath and oversee strategies and operations across the board. Her repertoire of experience will help build and strengthen the D2C and traditional businesses in the paid, owned and earned services offered by Tute, said the agency in a statement.

    In her career spanning over 18 years, Mehrotra has managed clients from a wide variety of sectors.   • Wondrlab ropes in Bilal Ansari as lead-data

    New Delhi: Wondrlab strengthened its senior leadership team on Tuesday with the appointment of Bilal Ansari as lead-data. He will report to Wondrlab, co-founder and managing partner, content platform, Rakesh Hinduja.

    Ansari comes with expertise in data analysis for business and brand solutions –social listening, online reputation management, social media analytics, website analysis, consumer behaviour analysis, consumer journey mapping, and how learnings from these sources add value to brand and business strategy.

  • Xiaomi India appoints Jaskaran Singh Kapany as head of marketing

    New Delhi: Jaskaran Singh Kapany has been appointed as the head of marketing, Xiaomi India.

    “Jaskaran is a terrific marketing leader and in his previous role, he was heading marketing for Paytm. He played a critical role in building the brand from scratch. @Jas – welcome to the madness. Looking forward to working with you to take Xiaomi India to new heights,” Xiaomi vice-president and Mi India managing director Manu Jain posted on LinkedIn.

    Kapany held the position of vice-president, marketing at Paytm, where he was instrumental in making Paytm one of the leading payment brands in India and helped scale the app’s user base. He also brokered partnership deals with BCCI Cricket, IPL, etc to take Paytm to the masses as part of a structured marketing strategy.

    Prior to his stint at Paytm, Kapany was VP – marketing and e-commerce at ICICI Prudential Life where he spearheaded all national brand-building and consumer initiatives.

  • HUL appoints Kedar Lele as ED, customer development

    Mumbai: Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has rejigged its top management on Thursday and appointed Kedar Lele as its executive director for customer development from 1 July.

    Lele, currently chairman and managing director of Unilever Bangladesh takes over from Srinandan Sundaram, who will move into a new role as executive director for foods and refreshment.

    Lele joined HUL in 2004 and was inducted into the company’s management committee. Prior to his Bangladesh stint, he was responsible for leading the e-commerce and modern trade business and oversaw the customer development centre for HUL.

    “Under his leadership, the Bangladesh business made great all-around progress – be it in CD coverage expansion, the transformation of our supply chain, or setting up sustainable models for market development. I would especially like to laud Kedar’s efforts towards developing talent and improving diversity in the Bangladesh business. I am certain that Kedar will take the HUL customer development function to the next level of performance,” HUL chairman & managing director Sanjiv Mehta said.

    Lele moved to Dhaka in 2017 to head the Unilever Bangladesh business. He led the business operations, sales & customer development function and oversaw the go-to-market organisation involving marketing, customer and trade management, media, marketing research, and activation there.
