    Gozoop Group elevates Ahmed Aftab Naqvi to global CEO

    Mumbai: Global marketing company Gozoop on Tuesday announced the elevation of co-founder Ahmed Aftab Naqvi as the group’s global CEO, from his current role as CEO of India. 

    In his new role, Ahmed will now lead operations in the Middle East region while overseeing the India business. He will continue to diversify Gozoop’s service offerings, enable strategic acquisitions and identify new markets to further the group’s international expansion, said the company in a statement.

    This announcement comes at a time when Gozoop is on track to consolidate its standing as one of India’s largest independent homegrown global advertising groups. “We are in the midst of a very exciting phase and Ahmed’s understanding of the global advertising and marketing landscape is remarkable, making him a perfect fit to lead our next wave of growth,” stated Gozoop Middle East co-founder and managing director Dushyant Bhatia. “Gozoop Middle East has been significant for the group’s success outside India and will play a critical role going forward. With Gozoop Middle East now under Ahmed’s aegis, we are confident of accelerating growth by diversifying our existing offerings in the region and beyond.”

    Kohinoor Group brings in Raghu Iyer as residential sales director

    Mumbai: Real estate company Kohinoor Group has brought Raghu Iyer on board as the director of residential sales.

    In this role, Iyer’s responsibilities include governing, achieving, and sustaining growth and profitability. He will also be responsible for the development of key growth sales strategies and action plans for the growth of the residential segment, said the company in a statement.

    Iyer has experience in handling teams with a high productivity matrix, product trainer, and sales motivator with experience of creating champions and all-around real estate professionals with a total of 15 years of experience.

    He was last associated with Godrej Properties Ltd as vertical sales head where he executed more than 12 successful launches and activations in the last five years. Previously, Iyer worked with Runwal Group as DGM (sales and marketing) for over two years. At Runwal, he played a pivotal role in scaling the referral loyalty business from a negligible amount to 17 per cent of overall business value. He also handled pre-sales for the company along with the strategic implementation of salesforce CRM.

    Mumbai: Deepak Sharma has joined Rediffusion Media and Communications as executive director. He was previously associated with Starcom Mediavest Group as managing director for over five years.

    “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as executive director at Rediffusion Media and Communications,” he wrote in a LinkedIn post, announcing his move.

    In his career spanning almost two decades, Sharma held senior-level positions at Starcom for almost 17 years. Previously, he worked with agencies like dentsu and GroupM.

    Sharad Aggarwal takes over as CEO of Godfrey Phillips India

    Mumbai: FMCG major Godfrey Phillips India Ltd (GPIL) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Sharad Aggarwal as chief executive officer of the company. He will be reporting to GPIL president and managing director Bina Modi.

    The board of GPIL had met on 16 September and unanimously approved the appointment of Aggarwal, who is currently serving as the COO and whole time director of Godfrey Phillips, said the statement.

    Aggarwal will be taking over from Bhisham Wadhera, who has been at the helm of the company from 2015, as he has demitted office on 26 December 2021. According to a media statement, Wadhera will continue to guide the organisation as an advisor and a mentor. “I am delighted with the appointment of Sharad as the CEO for Godfrey Phillips India; in last two years that I have worked closely with him, as a COO. Sharad has provided great value to Godfrey Phillips with an exceptional mix of strategic and people management skills, professional expertise and superior understanding of processes and technology,” shared Wadhera.

    “Sharad has been with the organisation since 1994 and has exceptional credentials of delivering results.     Mumbai: Marketing and management services company iVIPANAN Digital has announced the promotion of Reshma Rohida to the role of manager – social media and creatives. She previously held the position of creative designing lead and managed the creative department for the assigned clients.

    Rohida has been working for the agency for more than three years and leading the creative designing team. In her new position, she will drive out social media strategies for her existing client base and also continue her role as the creative designing lead.

    She has worked on some key projects as a lead designer like Anita Diamonds, SVNIT College of Engineering, La Pino’z Pizza, We Care Pharmacy & Clinic- Canada, Eyes Deal, SAMP Surad Group, and many more.

    “As I begin my new innings at IDFC FIRST Bank in the marketing team, I feel energised at the opportunity to work with some of the best minds in the BFSI industry,” Naarayan wrote in a LinkedIn post.

    In his eight-month stint at SugarBox, Naarayan had set up the marketing and communications team across brand, digital, creative, PR and partnership marketing. “To my friends at SugarBox Networks and my incredibly talented marketing team, grateful to have worked with you. As always, I will cheer for your success,” he further said.

    Mumbai: Havas Group India chief strategy officer Neeraj Bassi has decided to move on from the network. He joined the network in April 2020 and was leading the strategy function.

    Bassi, who reports to Havas Group India group CEO Rana Barua, will help in the transition and continue till March 2022, the agency said.

    Talking about Bassi’s exit, Rana Barua, said, “It was fantastic working with Neeraj, the last two years. I wish him all the best for his future endeavors.”

    Neeraj Bassi added, “I had an enriching experience with Havas Group India over the last two years. As I move on, I would like to wish Rana, Bobby and the entire leadership at Havas Group India all the very best.”

    Bassi was formerly with Publicis India, where he headed strategy and was the managing partner. He leverages more than two decades of varied experience across categories, having worked with agencies such as Ogilvy, Wunderman Thompson, McCann and market research networks-TNS, IMRB, NFO in India and overseas.

    He has also provided strategic guidance and brand solutions to Unilever, Audi, Cadbury Dairy Milk, BMW, Honda, Asian Paints, Nestle, Philips, HSBC, Adidas, Voltas, Sprite, Max Life, and Dabur among others. Bassi teaches at his alma-mater MICA Ahmedabad.

    Mumbai: Ed-tech company BYJU’S on Thursday announced the appointment of Himanshu Bajaj as head of business to lead its BYJU’S Learning Centre.

    BYJU’S Learning Centre offers students a hybrid model of learning by combining the best of offline and online learning methodologies.

    In his role, Bajaj will be responsible for development and expansion of BYJU’S Learning Centre, along with providing strategic business growth and thought leadership direction for the brand and the business. He will report directly to BYJU’S chief operating officer Mrinal Mohit.

    Before joining BYJU’S, Bajaj worked with Kearney and led its consumer and retail practice across Asia Pacific. He has also worked with Fedex in Singapore and Hong Kong and TSMG in Mumbai.

    Mumbai: CupShup, a full-service agency has promoted Sourav Kumar to the position of co-founder. Prior to this, Kumar served as the growth head for over three years.

    Kumar joined CupShup in 2018 and was the seventh employee then at the company. Joining as city manager for Delhi NCR region, he rose through the ranks strengthening operations, client servicing and account management, said the statement.

    Mumbai: Health and wellness start-up Mosaic Wellness on Wednesday announced the appointment of Sachin Singla as chief revenue officer.

    His duties include overseeing the growth function, leading all the channel teams, and ensuring each category of offerings is pushed to the right consumer segments based on the company strategy, said the statement.

    Singla joins Mosaic Wellness with a rich experience of over 15 years across finance, marketing and analytics. In his last stint, he was leading the growth vertical at Disney+ Hotstar India. He was also part of the MakeMyTrip leadership team wherein his role involved taking care of marketing engineering, customer analytics, performance measurement and attribution.
