    Sumeer Mathur appointed as national planning head & managing partner, Havas Worldwide (Creative) India

    Mumbai: Havas Group India has announced the appointment of Sumeer Mathur as national planning head and managing partner, Havas Worldwide India – the creative agency of the group, with immediate effect. He will be based out of the Gurugram office and report to Havas Group India group CEO Rana Barua.

    “The meaningful difference we make to our client’s business through our differentiated products, digital-led strategic solutions and engaging storytelling, is what led us to the top league in the industry. Sumeer will drive this further,” stated Havas Group India chairman and chief creative officer Bobby Pawar. “Throughout his career, Sumeer has worked with strong business teams, delivering tangible business results. His keen interest in understanding what drives culture, what motivates consumers, and how digital technologies are reshaping brand interactions will add a tremendous value to our strategic planning function.”

    Mathur will be partnering Havas Worldwide (Creative) managing director Manas Lahiri and Havas Worldwide (Creative) ED and NCD Ravinder Siwach to scale up the agency further, collaborate with key clients including Reckitt, Citroën, Dabur, Suzuki, William Grant, Tata and Harman (JBL) among many others, and drive the strategic planning vision and expertise at Havas Creative India, said the statement.

    He will also collaborate closely with Havas Worldwide’s chief client officer and head of group integration Arindam Sengupta, and Havas CX EVP and business head Prashant Tekwani to drive the group’s vision of integration and CX. In addition, Mathur will also join forces with the entire senior leadership of the group companies of Havas Group to help drive the integration across the network.

    “We need to now build a strong integrated leadership team that aggressively takes this growth mandate ahead. With Sumeer, Manas, Ravinder, Arindam, Prashant, Geet and all the other leaders forming the core team, it will further fuel our growth and empower us to deliver meaningful, ROI-centric marketing solutions for our clients,” said Rana Barua.  

    Mathur has worked across industries such as FMCG, telecom, automobiles, foods for some of India’s leading brands including Royal Enfield, Bira, Mother Dairy, Airtel, Unilever’s Fair & Lovely, Clinic All Clear, Cadbury and many more. Over the years, he has had successful stints at leading agencies such as DDB Mudra Group, JWT, Rediffusion Y&R, Contract and Lowe Lintas. His last stint was at Edelman as SVP, national planning and strategy head.

    Mumbai: FarEye, a global SaaS platform transforming last-mile deliveries, has announced the appointment of Manoj Rathi as its chief financial officer. 

    Rathi brings over 27 years of experience in leadership roles at Genpact, Grofers, BirlaSoft, DXC Technology, NIIT, etc and was recently associated with Dalmia-OCL.

    He has been involved in several M&A transactions & integration and spearheaded finance transformation, process re-engineering & digitisation initiatives. He has built ‘high-performance’ teams across the globe and driven excellence by enabling, empowering and motivating team members towards achieving optimal results. 

    Rathi has worked in the IT services space for almost 20 years, as well as  e-commerce and manufacturing sectors with Indian & foreign multinationals managing the global finance, taxation, legal and secretarial functions.

    Mumbai: Plant-based nutrition brand Plix has announced the onboarding of Krithika Sriram as chief growth officer. 

    In this role, Sriram will spearhead growth, drive the go-to-market strategy for new product lines, extension into new categories, and expansion into international markets.

    Achint Setia named marketing & social comm business head at Myntra

    Mumbai: Flipkart-owned fashion e-commerce platform Myntra has promoted Achint Setia to the position of marketing and social commerce business head. He was previously the VP and business head – social commerce at the fashion portal.

    In his new role, Setia will be responsible for building Myntra brand, loyalty program (Insider), user growth, content-led commerce, and Live commerce businesses.

    “Starting another new chapter at Myntra helping people look good and feel good! Thanks to my teams, mentors and well wishers,” Setia said in a LinkedIn post, announcing his new role.

    Setia is a business building expertise in consumer tech and media with cross-functional experience across marketing, operations, strategy, content, product development, and analytics.

    He joined Myntra as VP of marketing in 2018 and led brand, sale events, digital and performance marketing in that role. He conceptualised, launched and scaled the Myntra loyalty programme (Insider) and the venture into content to commerce play (Myntra Studio).

    Before joining Myntra, he worked with companies like McKinsey & Co, Microsoft R&D, and Viacom18 Media.

    Mumbai: Integrated marketing agency Grapes has announced the appointment of Partha Sengupta as creative director. He will be based out of the agency’s Delhi office and will report to the chief operating officer and strategy head Shradha Agarwal.

    In this role, Sengupta will be responsible for the agency’s creative output for brands. He will supervise the creative teams, assist in campaign conceptualisation, and will overlook art and creative teams, respectively.  

    Prior to this, Sengupta was associated with Wunderman Thompson as a senior creative director for more than three years. He has been instrumental in conceptualising campaigns of several brands.

    Mumbai: Chargeup, the homegrown battery-swapping network for e-rickshaws, has announced the joining of Ankur Madan as COO and co-founder of the company.

    At Chargeup, Madan will head operations and technology and lead the company’s product strategy, said the statement.

    Madan has over 15 years of market experience in multiple industries and is proficient in building businesses from scratch. Prior to Chargeup, he held key positions in Ubico Networks, Bharti Airtel, Haier Appliances, and Spectra.

    “Ankur is vastly experienced in product strategy and development, and managing various commercial aspects in the customer as well as business-facing arenas.     Mumbai: Jaydeep Shah has joined Sebamed India as vice president and chief marketing head. In this role, he will lead marketing for its consumer business across categories.

    Shah is a seasoned brand and marketing professional who brings expertise on defining category and brand strategy, new product and communication development, category creation, re-defining brand architecture and portfolio play, building purposeful brands, digital and e-commerce. 

    Shah’s last stint was with Unilever, where he handled multiple roles in home and personal care categories. He was part of the global marketing team for Unilever’s fabric conditioners brand Comfort and served as lead strategy for the brand across South East Asia markets.

    At Unilever, he worked on renowned brands like Rin, Fair & Lovely (now Glow & Lovely), Vim, Domex and Comfort spanning across South Asia and global markets.

    Prior to Unilever, Shah was associated with Ceat Tyres in various sales and marketing roles.

    Mumbai: Two-wheeler manufacturer LML on Tuesday announced the appointment of e-mobility expert Partha Choudhary as its chief operating officer (COO). Choudhary was previously associated with LML as sales and marketing head between 2006 and 2017. 

    In this new role, Choudhary is tasked with the rapid expansion of the brand in the national and international markets. As COO, he will be responsible for leading the operations functions at a time of major business growth and transformation. Hoping to further promote the growth of the LML brand, Choudhary will spearhead new initiatives as part of his role in ensuring that LML is a leading force in every aspect of e-mobility, said the company in a statement.
