The new television commercials will be on AIR across the country starting March. The company has also roped in the young Naisha Khanna as the new face of Rasna. Rasna  chairman and MD Piruz Khambatta said, “A home-grown brand which has given India the first value-for-money drink, Rasna, in its positioning stands for 32 glass with Celebration, Party and Dance Music. The core of the brand lies in enjoying the smallest moments of life and celebrating life. Over the last few years, we have launched several interesting and exciting new products that cater to a wide range of our audiences and suit the taste of both the masses and the classes. The new promotions for 2016 and the new ad film are yet another endeavour from us to ensure a gentler and direct connect with our consumers and cater to their specific requirements. The research we conducted in 2015 led us to formulate the strategy for this year and come up with an interesting and novel new commercial and a slew of interesting collectibles like the Muzos that kids can collect.”

Khambatta added, “A lot of effort has gone into the making of the new TVC. Infact, nine different scripts were researched across the country, with various situations and a surprise value. The gorilla was won hands down. There is a merit in showcasing a Gorilla because they communicate using gestures, body postures, sounds, etc. similar to the way we humans communicate while speaking. The plot was to promote Muzos and create a surprise value based on the celebration platform. And of course Akshay Kumar was the best choice to be the gorilla to induce fun with the kids.”

The company also unveiled a completely new packaging for its range of Fruit Fun, Fresh Fun and Fruit Plus today. Rasna concentrate comes in a unique dual format of powder and liquid, permitting consumers to enjoy freshly squeezed juice taste in addition to a healthy nourishing drink. The product price points are Re.1/- to Rs.5/- a glass ensuring that every person can enjoy the drink including those at the bottom of the pyramid.

  • Vodafone’s pug comes back to announce SuperNet

Vodafone’s pug comes back to announce SuperNet

MUMBAI: Vodafone couldn’t have had a more impactful and adorable way to introduce its latest 4G services, Supernet, than to bring back its iconic pug. The K9 brand ambassador had been a witness to the brand’s growth over the years on the network front and the star of many a brand communications. Therefore the latest series of 15 seconds ads to announce Vodafone’s much anticipated 4G services was a good way to bring back Cheeka the pug and evoke a sense of nostalgia.

Announcing the launch of Vodafone SuperNet, Vodafone India consumer director Sandeep Kataria said, “Network plays a crucial role in enhancing customer experience. In our continuing endeavour to provide superior voice and data services, we have made significant investments to expand, upgrade and modernise our network across the country. To cater to evolving consumer needs, we use multiple technologies to provide over 194 million (19.4 crore) customers across the country, all-round benefits of a seamless network experience, beyond just speed.”

The new campaign is being promoted with a high decibel 360 degree creative communication. Conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather and produced by Nirvana Films, the three ads released so far, namely –  Pug drums a beat, Pug ride a truck and Pug paints — effortlessly create a sense of familiarity and draw audience into their new 4G network, ‘Vodafone 4G SuperNet.

“The pug was a character we generally used when we did networks ads, with the last one being in 2012. Vodafone’s 4G service SuperNet required a network campaign and that’s why we thought to reintroduce everyone’s favourite Vodafone pug,” said Ogilvy & Mather Group creative director Kiran Anthony.

These aren’t really long stories that the creatives usually do for the brand.  The new films are hardly 7 to 10 seconds of content and 15 second overall. It comes, does it work and is gone.

Explaining why they didn’t go for a full-fledged 60 seconder and stuck to a 15 second ad film, he added, “It is not always that you require a lengthy ad film. Sometimes a post-production can also do the job. Moreover, these 15 seconders will get much more frequency when shown on television, especially with the cricket matches that are going on. Normally there aren’t that many 60 sec ad slots. A 60 sec ad can come once or twice during a match, this can come 20 or 30 times.”

The agency is currently working on expanding the campaign and come up with a lengthy version of the ad soon.

Airtel has led the proliferation of 4G services in India and has the widest 4G footprint in the industry with services available in over 350 cities and towns across the country. The new campaign, which has been conceived by Taproot Advertising, is positioned on Airtel being the widest 4G network in the country with unmatched coverage.

The campaign will have a total of 5 films, each one different from the other in terms of the visual beauty of the location. It will have support legs in outdoor, print and digital mediums which will play a big role in delivering the message to the online audience, in particular the youth.

Since August 2015, when Airtel’s disruptive 4G ‘Challenge’ went on air, Sasha Chhetri has become the synonymous with 4G in India and has established herself as the confident go-getter who can deliver the brand’s message with panache.

  • Digi Osmosis’s 3 tier digital marketing campaign for Rocky Handsome

Digi Osmosis’s 3 tier digital marketing campaign for Rocky Handsome

MUMBAI: Digi Osmosis, the newly incepted mar-tech agency in partnership with John Abraham and Azure Entertainment, expect to take Rocky Handsome to new heights with a unique digital campaign.  The campaign unfolded in three steps —

    Campaign Phase 1:
Earlier this year, Digi Osmosis had carried out an event with Twitter and Rocky Handsome. Every person who tweeted with a certain hashtag received a personalised Rocky Handsome poster and with a small message that went with it. A teaser link was also attached to that, which became instrumental in driving impressions to nearly 1.1 million.

    Campaign Phase 2:
For the launch of the trailer, the concept was simple. All one had to do was log into their Facebook account, go to the Rocky Handsome page, click on the link and subscribe! The subscriber then became one of the few to watch the Rocky Handsome trailer before the world saw it. It became an exclusive preview for the die-hard fans, and turned into one of the most anticipated blockbusters this year.

    Campaign Phase 3:
Another activity in which Digi Osmosis played a role was a Facebook Live with John Abraham. The star held a Q&A session with his fans on his Facebook page on the 8 March and garnered nearly 3 lakh views. It was an open event and everyone was invited to chat with the star.

Commenting on the campaign Digi Osmosis founder Manish Kumar said “We are proud to be a part of Rocky Handsome. The team has placed immense trust in us as their digital partner and we are personally invested in driving innovative, quirky and fun digital content that is shareable and make Rocky Handsome the biggest blockbuster of the year.”

Commenting on the association, producer Sunir Kheterpal added “A unique movie like this requires a special touch and that is why we turned to the team at Digi Osmosis. For Rocky Handsome, the biggest target audience is the youth. The youth are the lifeblood of social media and so, who better than Digi Osmosis to take the lead on the digital front.”
