  • Parryware partners ‘Halkaa’ to take on the challenge of open defecation

Parryware partners ‘Halkaa’ to take on the challenge of open defecation

MUMBAI: Indian bathroom brand Parryware has joined hands with Nila Madhab Panda for his upcoming movie Halkaa.

The film that has traveled to over 15 international film festivals across the globe, essays the story of a slum child's dream to free himself from open defecation and have a toilet of his own. It’s a story of his heroism and aspirations.

The film also reflects the same and highlights the need to curb open defecation in India. This unique partnership extends to cinemas, retail outlets and digital space; and is another of brand’s cross industry associations. This partnership also launches the second edition of Parryware's loo break campaign in cinemas.

Post receiving a great response for the first season of ‘Parryware Loo Break’ campaign, India’s contemporary bathroom solutions brand has rolled out the second phase of its national level campaign in association with the Halkaa starring Tathastu, Ranvir Shorey and Paoli Dam.

    https://www.facebook.com/ParrywareIndia/videos/897824940426497/

The campaign is first of its kind in the industry breaking clutter and making the brand synonymous to loo breaks. The TVC breaks the conventional advertising, where it will mark the beginning of intermission and will be played across 170+ PVR in 35 cities ensuring complete attention of the viewers.

RBPPL marketing head Mayuri Saikia says, “When the Nilabh’s team came to us with the proposal, we found it to be a perfect fit for both the brands (Parryware & Halkaa) as the film address the key issue of open defecation that Parryware has been consistently advocating for the past 60 years. Films today have emerged as a very effective medium in reaching out to the public and efficiently imparting the message across.”

Roca bathroom products MD KE Ranganathan adds, “Given the fragmented segment that the brand operates in, bathroom as a category is yet to be claimed and consumers hardly pay attention to multiple brands that they come across in a day during different environments. Post the success of our first Loo Break campaign, the second phase of is aimed at strengthening brand’s popularity in the market and interact with the audience in most unique way making Parryware synonymous with loo breaks.”

Apart from this, the brand is promoting the partnership and new product launches through innovative PoS at more than 2000 dealer and retailer stores across India.

Parryware introduced for the first time in India a complete bathroom customer care support during mid 1990s and has since built a strong service network across 30 cities in India.

Parryware products are manufactured in eight factories across India and is present through a strong distribution network of 7800+ dealers and retailers in the Indian market.

  • Cipla’s new ad with Priyanka Chopra breaks stigma around asthma

Cipla’s new ad with Priyanka Chopra breaks stigma around asthma

MUMBAI: Cipla has launched its new TV campaign, #BerokZindagi. The TVC aims to raise awareness about asthma and its treatment, along with helping address the social stigma surrounding it – one of the key factors for limited disclosure of being asthmatic and avoidance of inhaler use in public. As a part of this film, Priyanka Chopra, Bollywood’s global icon will help break barriers to inhaler usage and highlight the need for an attitudinal change towards inhalation therapy as the most effective treatment for asthma management vis-à-vis oral medication.

With the stigma surrounding asthma, and abysmally low awareness levels regarding inhaler use, this campaign calls for a sustained dialogue and adoption of the right treatment to improve patient outcomes.

The film opens with Chopra narrating her story of how she took control of her asthma and did not let it come in the way of achieving her dreams. Through her story, she attempts to break deeply rooted myths associated with inhalers and encourages patients to consult their doctor and adopt the most effective treatment.

Cipla executive vice president and head India Business Nikhil Chopra adds, “Ongoing education is of paramount importance in chronic diseases like asthma. Cipla has continually led the charge in reinforcing awareness about asthma and its treatment with the objective to ensure better health outcomes. Therefore, education and myth busting are precisely what the TVC for #BerokZindagi is focused on. Hopefully, this campaign will help in increasing both relevance and acceptance of inhalation therapy as the foremost and most effective medication among asthmatics, caregivers and the general public. This directly resonates with our endeavour of enabling asthmatics to achieve more in their daily lives through optimal inhaler use, and thereby live life to its fullest.”

#BerokZindagi is a first-of-its-kind campaign which positions asthma and inhalation not as a sign of weakness, but as an echo of the patients’ undeniable resolve and spirit.

The TVC was scripted by the creative team at GREY Group India, directed by Koushik Sircar and produced by NP Prakash of Apostrophe Films. The campaign will comprise a 360-degree media mix led by TV. It will be supported by digital mediums and on-the-ground activations.

GREY group India chairman and managing director Yash Samat adds, “Our clear objective was to normalise the use of inhalers and remove the stigma around it. And there wasn’t a better way than to use a celebrity who is also a sufferer. It was brave on Priyanka’s part to come out in the open about the disease. And if, by using an inhaler she can live a Berok Zindagi, so can millions of other patients.”

The campaign will commence on 15 September and will run through to mid-January on Hindi and regional GEC, news, infotainment and movie channels. On the digital platform, Cipla is promoting the campaign through VOOT, Hotstar, YouTube and social media via Twitter and Facebook with contextual content.

#BerokZindagi aims to help millions breathe free and is here to support asthmatics by encouraging them to opt for inhalation therapy. Shying away from the condition will not improve quality of life, accepting it will.

One common trait is their progressive mind set and they never consider their work any less important than that of others around them. Therefore, this campaign evokes a sense of pride in emerging India, which pushes the people to move ahead, while beautifully placing Honda CLIQ as the enabler through their journey to success.

The campaign “Bade Kaam ki CLIQ” focuses on a young IT technician named Bunty who aspires to do bigger things in his life. Bunty is a clear depiction of India’s growth partner who take pride in what they do for others and make a difference to their community. They are the real people of India who push India forward every day.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India senior vice president for sales and marketing Yadvinder Singh Guleria says, “CLIQ is a perfect blend of Practicality, Versatility and value for money. Breaking the price barrier of automatic transmission on two wheels, CLIQ is emerging in the consideration of traditional mind set of the rural motorcycle buyers.”

“Honda as an automatic scooter leader is taking scooterisation to tier II and III towns and we are happy to partner with them through this campaign,” adds TBWA India executive director Amitesh Rao.

The campaign will be live on television, print, outdoor, PoS and cinema.

Reliance General Insurance cautions two-wheeler pillion riders

MUMBAI: Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Reliance Capital, has launched a digital campaign to raise public awareness on the safety of pillion riders on two-wheelers.

Titled #FaceThePace, the campaign urges pillion riders to wear a helmet when on the road and highlights the need for children riding pillion on motorbikes and scooters.

As per estimates, nearly 16,000 children die in road accidents every year, making 10.5 per cent of all road accident fatalities. This boils down to over 43 child deaths a day due to road accidents, a number that is seven times more than deaths due to crimes against children.

In a bid to raise awareness of the problem, the company’s campaign highlights the consequences of pillion riders not wearing a helmet. Even though stricter laws and initiatives in the last few years have increased the number of two-wheeler drivers wearing a helmet, the number of pillion riders not wearing a helmet is still staggeringly high, at 75 per cent, as reported by nationwide surveys. To address the issue, traffic police in various states of the country have been taking measures such as stricter monitoring and increased number of tickets.

Through #FaceThePace the company is taking to popular digital and social media channels to share its message. At the centre of the digital campaign is a short film that uses the analogy of a batsman and wicket-keeper on a cricket playing field to deliver the message.

Reliance General Insurance chief executive officer Rakesh Jain says, “India loses thousands of lives in road accidents every year. We think it is vital to address this issue in a way that has not been done before. And we believe this film does exactly that. The cricket analogy in the film is something most Indians will relate to, owing to the popularity of the game in the country.”

In addition to the digital campaign, RGI is also distributing thousands of free helmets to riders around the country. The company has launched several initiatives for road safety in the past and will continue to raise awareness on such issues of grave social concern.

Ola Rentals launches ad with Sumeet Vyas

MUMBAI: Ola, India’s leading and one of the world’s largest ride-sharing platforms, has launched a nationwide, integrated campaign focusing on Ola Rentals.

Starring actor and writer Sumeet Vyas, the video campaign highlights Ola Rentals as your ‘go-to’ weekend ride. With the ease of booking a cab that remains at a customer’s disposal, waiting on them, as they move from place to place, Ola Rentals has emerged as a convenient, hassle-free solution that fills in for your personal car.

Conceptualised and developed by Happy mcgarrybowen, the creative agency from Dentsu Aegis Network, the TVCs show Sumeet as an empowered Ola Rentals customer who isn’t worried of getting tired of driving for long hours in heavy traffic. Instead, he enjoys a day out with his wife and back-to-back outings to meet relatives since he gets to relax at the backseat like a boss. The catch phrase #NoStressBoss, used by the central character of the film, plays upon the idea of enjoying the comfort Ola Rentals provides to its customers.

Actor and Writer Sumeet Vyas said, “I completely related to the concept of the films. As a professional who works round the clock almost every day of the week, I look forward to stress free weekends with my family and friends. A product like Ola Rentals can give you that much required relief that commuters are looking for! The TVCs are being showcased through digital, video, social, OOH and radio; and have already garnered more than 5.8 million impressions on various digital platforms. So far, both 30 second videos have collectively garnered 1.2 million+ views on YouTube.

Through this latest campaign we want to highlight the convenience of having a cab on disposal for diverse needs like shopping trips, meeting friends, visiting relatives, local sightseeing etc. I am glad to share that the TVCs are garnering great response, which goes to show that customers today value convenience and experience. They don’t want to tire themselves driving in heavy traffic, instead would like to be driven around as they relax and enjoy their day off.”

Happy mcgarrybowen chief operating officer Samarjit Choudhry mentioned, “Ola Rentals is a very unique category. Unlike a point to-point cab, this one is meant to take you to multiple places. It takes away a lot of pain points like parking or having to book another cab, not to say the pain of driving on congested roads. Keeping all this in mind, we decided to take weekends as a plank for communication because a large number of the people get out on weekends and face the stress of weekend traffic and finding parking spots. The ease of the product offering had to be conveyed and hence we came up with the campaign thought of #NoStressBoss.”

Founded in 2011 by Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati, Ola is one of the world’s largest ride-hailing companies. Ola integrates city transportation for customers and driver-partners onto a mobile technology platform ensuring convenient, transparent, and quick service fulfilment.

  • Senco Gold & Diamonds showcases Karigari with Vidya Balan

Senco Gold & Diamonds showcases Karigari with Vidya Balan

MUMBAI: In its new campaign, Senco Gold & Diamonds, the jewellery brand from Bengal, puts a different lens on craftsmanship.

Karigari finds its significance and relevance through the stories of four different women from four different parts of the country – women who find a reflection of their identity in the jewellery they choose to wear. Real, everyday women. With real stories. It is set to play up the fact that women, the karigars of life, are as unique as the pieces of adornment they choose for themselves.

The multi-faceted and multi-talented Balan has masterfully essayed these diverse characters. Suresh Triveni – the director of Tumhari Sullu, teams up with Vidya and the crew that created Sullu, to tell these stories and bring them alive in his characteristic style.

Each of the four films narrates the way a woman finds herself, her life and her identity intertwined with the piece of jewellery that she wears. It traces the story of a Bengali woman who discovers that the time taking art of filigree is similar to the time and patience that she needs to invest in making a relationship blossom. How she enjoys perfecting the relationship just like a karigar enjoys perfecting filigree work for a set of bangles.

The second story is told in the modest voice of a housewife in Delhi. She acknowledges the importance of little indulgences and discovers her dazzle in the karigari of diamonds.

The third story finds its protagonist in a South Indian woman. Someone who discovers that karigari can combine traditional values and modern outlook just the way she has never lost touch of her roots.

And the last film helps a modern working woman, who believes in simplicity, find her match in the minimalistic and intricate karigari of lightweight jewellery.

Ogilvy Kolkata managing partner creative Sujoy Roy says, “The task was to take Senco’s strength of craftsmanship to every corner of India as the brand extends its footprint across the nation. With this campaign we will help women, the karigars of life, discover another karigar in Senco. The story of karigari finds its role in the lives of these four women. And depicts how different forms of karigari helps reflect the true identity of every woman. Only an actor as versatile as Vidya Balan could do justice to these roles. Unlike other jewellery campaigns, this campaign doesn’t over-promise or create an eclectic space for jewellery. It is set in the real space. And it finds its voice through the stories of four relatable characters across the country.

Senco Gold & Diamonds executive director Suvankar Sen adds, “Each time a client praises our intricate designs, it is a credit to our craftsmen. We are fortunate to have them with us for years. In fact, some of the karigars have been with us for generations so they know everything when it comes to jewellery, modern or old; traditional or futuristic. This campaign is a tribute to the karigars who work untiringly to craft jewellery by their hands”
