IdeateLab repositions as “The Outcome People”

Mumbai: In a move to mirror the evolving business & marketing ecosystem, IdeateLab – a leading independent digital-first marcom solutions provider – has repositioned itself as “The Outcome People.”

While most agencies and collaborations stop at output, IdeateLab seeks to go beyond and aim to deliver outcomes that truly matter to its clients.

“In the BANI world, getting the best output is not enough. In order to achieve the best outcomes, businesses need to create and embrace the best outcomes themselves. IdeateLab is partnering clients in bringing this mindset shift – to help reshape their thinking about their products & services in order to achieve business outcomes”, said IdeateLab chairman Dr. Bhaskar Das.

To reflect the new thinking and focus, the company has refreshed its identity and digital assets. IdeateLabs becomes IdeateLab, and dawns a crisper, contemporary logo.

The company has outlined three key pillars to engage with clients, such that ‘outcome’ becomes the currency:

Differentiated approach: IdeateLab starts at the Business Objective level, not just marketing or communication objective. And identifies the role it can play to make a visible and sustained difference to the clients’ business through its CEO (creative & consult, engage & execute, optimise & operate) framework.

Tailored solutions: No two businesses or brands are same. From data-backed insights, deep social listening to nuanced creative & content and advanced media optimization, IdeateLab crafts bespoke solutions that deliver outcomes. It is particularly geared to help MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and home-grown businesses. To the extent, that IdeateLab functions like their outsourced marketing function.

Partnership DNA: Ideatelab’s growth is truly linked to the growth of its clients. The operating model is designed on the principle of shared success – with a hybrid of fixed and variable elements. It’s a partnership based on collaboration, transparency and agreed outcomes.

“Ideate has always prided itself on the ability to adapt to changing times, hence over the last few months the leadership spent a lot of time discussing and brainstorming with our clients as well as Industry Leaders on how can we partner and create a true partnership model with our clients, whether a Startup looking to Scale or an Established Brand looking to diversify. This new avatar reflects that changed thinking that we bring on board,” said IdeateLab director Vrutika Dawda.

“We are looking to expand and sharpen the very definition of the word ‘idea’ in our vocabulary. Moving beyond the ‘what’ of output, at a campaign or social post level, we want to crack the ‘why’ of that outcome at the business level. So that a refreshing & tangible mashup of data, creativity and technology comes into play”, said IdeateLab chief creative officer Raman R.S. Minhas.

IdeateLab believes shifting the focus on outcomes is not only the need of the hour, but also a sure way to become future-ready.

  • Weekend Unwind with Social Panga’s Manan Malik

Weekend Unwind with Social Panga’s Manan Malik

Mumbai: With another weekend upon us, it is time to unwind with the latest Q&A edition of Indiantelevision.com’s Weekend Unwind—a series of informal chats that peek into the minds of business executives through a fun lens in an attempt to get to know the person behind the title a little better.

In this week’s session, we have

Social Panga’s director of strategy and growth Manan Malik.

Without further ado here it goes…

    Your mantra for life
I will summarise this with a quote, and I have an abstract tattoo for the same as well.
“We all have our time machines, don’t we. Those that take us back are memories… And those that carry us forward, are dreams.” from the book ‘The Time Machine’ by H.G. Wells

A book you are currently reading or plan to read
I am currently reading ‘Landour Days’ by Ruskin Bond. It’s a book on a lot of Ruskin Bond’s personal stories and experiences of living in the hills. Both Ruskin Bond and Ladour have a special place and emotion in my heart. I am a slow reader, whenever this finishes, I am going to pick ‘Cat People’ by Devapriya Roy

    Your fitness mantra
While I am still working on this front. In the end it boils down to the enough movement, portion control, setting boundaries and saying no. If these are in check, consistency and discipline will take you places! Secondly, learning the science behind things help me.

    Your comfort food
Technically, I should be averse to this idea, but Giani’s Caramel Mocha Sundae wins this category. It definitely delivers comfort right to the soul! And who doesn’t like a plate of perfectly cooked rajma chawal and momos.

A quote or philosophy that keeps you going when the chips are down
“And Until Death Comes, All if Life.” – Lines by Ruskin Bond. It has been my email signature for years.

    Your guilty pleasure
Making endless lists about things and organising data and every information. Also, documenting various aspects of my life which might be of no use or now are mere memory.

The last time you tried something new
I have recently started making Protein Pancakes, which is new dish. I hope that counts ?

A life lesson you learned the hard way
I should have prioritized health over anything else in my younger years and acknowledge the things I feel and want.

What gets you excited about life?
That there’s so much more to this world. So many places to travel, and so many things to experience – people, culture, food and all things life, and so many hobbies to follow and skills to learn.

What’s on top of your bucket list?
Having a simple house built as per what I have imagined in the quaint foot of the hills, with all things that makes a house a home! But that’s a long shot, so publishing my poetry-photography book which I would want to make it happen soon.

If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
It’s so easier than it looks to manage my fears, and I should have managed them without wasting much time, whenever needed. Secondly, to always prioritize myself.

One thing you would most like to change about the world
The world could use more compassion and kindness and see beyond just work and deadlines. Things are not as hard, difficult and daunting as people make them because of their wiring.

An activity that keeps you motivated and charged during tough times
Hitting the gym, and very recently playing Table Tennis.

What lifts your spirits when life gets you down?
Talking my heart out to the wonderful, sensible bunch of friends that I am blessed to have.

    Your go-to stress buster
The attention and space that my beautiful Calico-Indie cat, Arya demands by sitting with me or on my lap, does the job perfectly well.

Crayons wins 2 golds, 1 silver, and 3 bronzes as India’s largest independent agency at ABBYs

Mumbai: In a triumph for independent spirit and creativity, Crayons Advertising won across categories and campaigns. The independent agency competed against big international names from the industry, relying not on the strength of numbers but on passion and dedication.

The Delhi-headquartered agency’s team took home 2 golds and a silver for a campaign advertising themselves called Creatively Independent Since 1986, 2 bronzes for Woodpecker Beer’s Legally Mandated Glassware campaign and 1 bronze for Clove Dental’s Teeth Have Feelings Too.

Crayon’s chief strategy officer Samir Datar reflected on the wins, saying: “Last year, we took home one bronze ABBY. This year, we proved it wasn’t a fluke, but the start of something bigger. To win for our very own Crayons campaign is especially sweet. We truly believe in what we do, and to win as an independent agency in a field full of massive names felt special. It was an emotional time for each and every team member present, which says a lot about the passion and pride we take in our work. Watch out for us next year!”

Crayons executive creative director Manoj Jacob added, “Crayons, yeah we’re different. We don’t have 100 people ideating with the specific intention of picking up metal, just a handful of damn good people doing damn good work. And these awards are testament to what a small team like ours, can do with just good old day-to-day advertising.”
