    MUMBAI: Following the success of BC Web Wise’s Facebook campaign for Fortune Plus Low Absorption Oil, the agency has now bagged the entire digital account for Fortune Cooking Oil.

    The campaign will target Indian mothers who are wizards in the kitchen and the relationship they build with their kids via food. Another facet of the campaign is the tie-up with food channel Zee Khana Khazana that would feature domestic chefs on TV.

    LMG elevates Sudha Natrajan to CEO of Lintas Initiative Media

    MUMBAI: Lintas Media Group (LMG) has promoted long standing member of the Lintas fraternity, Sudha Natrajan, to the position of CEO of Lintas Initiative Media.

    Natarajan has also been appointed to the Board of Lintas Initiative Outdoor, the wholly owned out-of-home subsidiary of LMG, formerly known as Aaren Initiative before the acquisition.

    In her new role, she will assume national responsibility for the newly created Lintas Initiative Media, a full-service media and digital offering of LMG, currently servicing a wide cross section of LMG clients in all cities.

    Meanwhile, Raghav Subramanian, who recently joined LMG, will be a key support to Natarajan as the COO of Lintas Initiative Media.

    “Sudha has been an indelible part of LMG‘s growth story for over a decade. She has moved from strength to strength and built many strong relations with our clients and the industry at large.     Colors rises to No. 2 again with Golden Petal awards

    MUMBAI: Viacom18’s flagship Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) Colors has made it to the second position again after a hiatus of four weeks. And helping the channel regain its ranking is the first Golden Petal Awards.

    As per TAM data for the week ended 31 December (C&S, 4+, HSM), Colors has added 38 GRPs (gross rating points) to its kitty to register 256 GRPs (last week 218). The telecast of Colors Golden Petal Awards (CGPA) on 25 December at 8 pm fetched a TVR of 4.98.

    As per data provided by Colors, the show had 20.5 per cent reach and 48.6 minutes of time spent per viewer (TSV). Interestingly, CGPA is the highest rated TV awards show as on rival channels Zee Rishtay Awards (Zee TV) and Star Parivaar Awards (Star Plus) could manage a TVR of 4.71 and 4.0 respectively.

    In week 53, the leading GEC Star Plus garnered 325 GRPs, maintaining its numero uno position. However, it lost some of its sheen as compared to the previous week (344 GRPs). Telecast of Big Star Entertainment Awards on 31 December at 10 pm recorded 4.63 TVR for the channel. It also aired Master Chef India Grand Finale on 31 December
    at 9 pm that clocked 2.1 TVR.

    Sony Entertainment Television (Set) saw a marginal rise of five GRPs. It ended the week with 240 GRPs, but slipped to No. 3.

    Zee TV, meanwhile, saw a 14 GRP loss in the week and closed its tally with 194 GRPs. Last week the channel was the biggest gainer because of the telecast of its flagship award show, Zee Rishtay Awards.

    Sab maintained its position and ended the week with 113 GRPs (last week 122) while the newly launched GEC from Star India bouquet, Life OK, slipped to 74 GRPs (last week 87 GRP) in its second week run.

    Imagine TV saw a marginal rise in GRPs. It recorded 72 GRPs (last week 67). The channel aired the grand finale of its dance show, Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan, on 31 December at 10 pm which fetched 1.0 TVR.

    Sahara One with 35 GRPs (last week 39 GRPs) was on the last step of the GEC ladder.

    Indian Oil empanels 8 agencies for its corporate account

    MUMBAI: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has empanelled eight agencies – Continental Advertising, Interads, Newfields, Concept, RK Swamy BBDO, Inter Publicity, Siddhartha advertising and National Advertising – for its corporate account.

    Among these eight agencies, National Advertising, Siddhartha advertising, RK Swamy BBDO and Inter Publicity are the new agencies while the remaining four have been retained to service the account.

    The agencies were invited for the multi-agency pitch in October.

    The empanelment will be for a period of two years. However, there is a provision of extension for another two years at the sole discretion of IOCL, company sources said.

    Concept India MD Vivek Suchanti and Sr VP Aarti Arora confirmed the news of retaining the account to Indiantelevision.com. The other accounts that the agency won in recent past were Power Grade and National Highway Authority of India.

    The creative duties for IOCL‘s products are handled by Grey Worldwide, McCann Erickson, Rediffusion-Y&R, Draftfcb Ulka and Contract Advertising.

    MUMBAI: Ogilvy India’s Louella Rebello, who is serving her notice period at the agency, will be joining DDB Mudra as executive creative director, Mumbai in February.

    Rebello, senior creative director at O&M has recently put in her papers at the creative agency after serving for over eight years. She had joined O&M in 2003 as creative supervisor to associate creative director and was subsequently promoted to her current role in April 2011.

    DDB Mudra sources have confirmed the development to Indiantelevision.com.

    Prior to O&M, Rebello has worked with Pressman Advertising and Marketing, Triton Communications and Bates India.

    MUMBAI: Ad agency Curry Nation has appointed Porus Jose as creative brand management head. Jose, who assumed the new role on 3 January, will report to Curry Nation co-founder Priti Nair.

    Jose has over 16 years of experience and was freelancing as creative consultant since last two years.

    At Curry Nation, Jose’s duties will include taking care of the creative output like ideation and media planning at the agency.

    Curry Nation co-founder Nagessh Pannaswami said, “Curry Nation is about to complete a year and we are definitely looking at growing geographically as well. We were on a lookout for people who can carry on the mantle of creativity. Having worked with Porus in the past, we felt that he fit the bill.”

    Jose added, “The plan is to help take Curry Nation to the next level. I believe in doing meaningful clutter breaking work and in this, Curry Nation and I are aligned towards the same goals. My earlier association with Priti and Nagessh tells me that together we will be able to come up with some good creative work.”

    MUMBAI: In a bid to strengthen its Asia Pacific and South Asia leadership, McCann Worldgroup has announced promotion of Prasoon Joshi and Charles Cadell.

    Joshi, who served as McCann Worldgroup India executive chairman, has been given charge of president at McCann Worldgroup South Asia president. Meanwhile, Cadell, who was McCann Worldgroup Southeast Asia and Australia regional MD, has been named McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific president.

    Both, Cadell and Joshi, will report to McCann Worldgroup chairman and CEO Nick Brien.

    “McCann Worldgroup has positioned itself for an ambitious growth strategy. Realigning the region under Cadell‘s and Joshi‘s leadership will help to drive deeper collaboration and accelerate investment opportunities in a more cohesive manner,” Brien said in a statement.

    Cadell will be based in Singapore and will manage China, Korea, Japan and Australia while Joshi will look after India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

    MUMBAI: Everest Brand Solutions has won the strategic and creative duties for Augere’s broadband wireless services, being launched under the brand ‘Zoosh’ in India, following a multi agency pitch.


    Everest will undertake an in-depth survey about the company’s services and will roll out its first 360 degree marketing campaign to launch Ziish within the next quarter.

    MUMBAI: GroupM has appointed Sonali Vaidya as HR head for India, while Gaurav Hirey, who held the post earlier, is being moved to Singapore to be a part of the GroupM Regional Talent Team.


    Hirey has also been named HR business partner for Maxus (Asia Pacific).


    Vaidya will be based in Mumbai and will report to GroupM CEO South Asia Vikram Sakhuja.


    Vaidya said, “Talent Management is new to this industry and is in its formative stages. There are huge opportunities for our businesses to realise the benefits of managing talent and hence I am looking forward

Her focus is on building an extremely intensive talent management programme to engage and grow GroupM’s talent internally.


    In his new role, Hirey will lead the HR activities for the APAC region including recruitment, talent management and development, corporate social responsibility and employee relations. He will also support GroupM talent projects in addition to this. He will report to GroupM Global talent head Angela Ryan and Maxus APAC CEO Neil Stewart.
