Weekend Unwind with: White Rivers Media co-founder & Ceo Shrenik Gandhi

Mumbai: IndianTelevision moves on to the next in its series of informal, fun snippets that peek into the mind of corporate executives – akin to a virtual water cooler chat. An attempt to get to know the person behind the title a little better, by having them share their nuggets on life and their mantras to deal with the curveballs that life throws – not necessarily revolving around work life – and sometimes going beyond work.

This week, we have on the hot seat White Rivers Media Co-founder & Ceo Shrenik Gandhi. A zealous entrepreneur, Gandhi cofounded White Rivers Media in 2012. Since then, the agency has featured in Deloitte Tech Fast 50’s ranking- a benchmark of fast-growing tech companies worldwide- five years in a row. Gandhi is also a regular speaker at digital and entrepreneurship summits, including TedX.

    So here goes…

ü  Your mantra for life:  My mantra for life is very straightforward- Give joy and pay it forward, always.

ü  A book you are currently reading or planning to read: ‘Atomic Habits’ by James Clear is a book that has truly moved me.

ü  Your fitness mantra, especially during the pandemic: My fitness routine has always been quite simple. It’s basically, getting a cardio workout by 7:30 am and dinner before 6:30 am.

ü  Your comfort food:  I’m a big fan of Indian cuisine. So, any Indian meal is my comfort food.

ü  When the chips are down a quote/ philosophy that keeps you going:    When the odds are not in our favour, it’s important to have faith in yourself and believe that things will get better. So my go-to quote in tough times has to be: ‘Believe. Believe in a better tomorrow, always’.

ü  Your guilty pleasure: Binging on my favourite ice cream from NOTO would probably be it.

ü When was the last time you tried something new?  I believe I am a curious learner by nature and someone open to new experiences. Last week I tried polishing my table tennis skills, while this week I’m going to try my hand at golf.

ü  If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?  For the longest time, I was afraid of failing. But if I could give my younger self a piece of advice, I’d say, “fail faster” because failure is what leads to growth.

ü  What gets you excited about life?  Every day, I get excited about the next day, because every tomorrow has the potential to be extraordinary.

ü  What’s on top of your bucket list?  Well, I have a long due vacation to Iceland, so it’s fair to say that backpacking in Iceland tops my bucket list.

ü  A life lesson you learnt the hard way: Again, just two words- Fail fast

ü  One thing you would most like to change about the world: The world is in desperate need of empathy, and it’s about time this changes. Apart from that, on a more practical note, more financial prudence is the need of the hour.

ü  An activity that keeps you motivated / charged during tough times: Yoga is something that keeps me charged throughout the day, especially on challenging days.

ü  What lifts your spirits when life gets you down?  I think meditation works magically when life gets you down. It helps me clear my head which eventually leads me to come up with solutions.

ü  Your go-to stress buster: As cliche as it may sound, getting some cardio done at the gym helps clear my mind, and it’s my go-to stress buster.

Kumar was recently seen in an ad of Vimal, after which he was trolled fiercely on social media. The actor is constantly facing criticism from the people, has now come forward and issued an apology for hurting his fans’ sentiments.

He took to instagram and twitter to write an apology to his fans and followers. His post reads, “I am sorry. I would like to apologise to all my fans and well-wishers. Your reaction over the past few days has deeply affected me. While I have not and will not endorse tobacco, I respect the outpouring of your feelings in light of my association with Vimal Elaichi. With all humility, I step back. I have decided to contribute the entire endorsement fee towards a worthy cause.”

“The brand might continue airing the ads till the legal duration of the contract that is binding upon me, but I promise to be extremely mindful in making my future choices. In return, I shall forever continue to ask for your love and wishes,” he added.

  • How Interior Wall Painting Can Protect You from Infections?

How Interior Wall Painting Can Protect You from Infections?

MUMBAI : Toxins, mites and moulds can cause sick house syndrome! The gaps and corners of the walls become the perfect places for microorganisms and pests to thrive when you do not take good care. What does this mean for your family? They could experience eye, nose and throat irritation, allergic reactions, asthmatic attacks, and a host of serious respiratory problems.

The good news is that luxury interior paints can give your walls a rich appearance, significantly reduce pollution and kill bacteria. It’s a good idea to shield your home and your loved ones. Here’s a look at how expert painters can prevent infection and leave you with a healthy home.

    Superior Quality Paints
If you’re wondering which paint is best for interior walls, you can browse through luxury emulsions from Berger Paints. Choose one that reduces two of the most harmful air pollutants – Sulphur Oxides and Nitrogen Oxides from the indoors. These pollutants can negatively impact the pulmonary organs and make your loved ones sick from bacterial infections. Choose an anti-bacterial paint like Berger Silk Breathe Easy, which has been approved by the Indian Medical Association and kills 99% of the bacteria on the surface, while offering a supreme finish. It effectively works on 29 different strains of bacteria present indoors. It has been certified by Singapore Green Label for being a low VOC and eco-friendly paint, while also being known for its anti-pollution properties. It is even more important to select such non-toxic paint for people with babies. Doing so helps improve indoor air quality to a great extent.

For exterior walls, consider Berger’s Silk Luxury Emulsion, which is known for its excellent protection properties and bio-resistant formula. This prevents walls from fungal and algae attacks. It offers a high sheen finish, while preventing germs from seeping into the interiors through pores and cracks.

    Professional Express Painting Service
Choose Berger Express Painting services. The painters follow all the safety protocols, like maintaining their status on Arogya Setu and wearing hats, gloves and masks while working in your home. They also come equipped with sanitisers and disinfectants. They begin by sanitising the painting site before applying the interior wall paint. They also use automated tools that cut down the risk of dust and dirt, which can aggravate allergies and asthma. They use the best low VOC paint, since volatile organic compounds contain a variety of chemicals that are highly toxic. High levels of VOC can lead to headaches, fatigue, skin issues, conjunctival irritation, nausea and liver damage.

The professionals disinfect the frequently touched surfaces, like tabletops, handles, drawers, toilets and doorknobs. You can track the painter’s health status via the XP4U Consumer app and monitor the progress they are making without any face-to-face contact. They will also clean the painting site and disinfect it before leaving. You can be assured of a cleaner and safer home.

    Waterproofing Solutions
Waterproofing your walls should not be ignored. Moisture can easily seep through cracks and create the perfect home for mould and mildew. This can damage the structural integrity of your home and put your family’s health at risk, causing skin irritation, respiratory issues, and aggravating allergies, asthma, and eczema. Using the best paint for home interior walls in India may not be enough, as most places have high humidity. Experts can use a Moisture Meter to determine the level of moisture trapped in your walls and ceilings. They can now recommend scientific solutions for waterproofing, before getting the painting job done. For example, a reading between 6-10 warrants a putty-primer treatment.

Scientific waterproofing solutions may include products like:
Waterproof Putty: This can be used internally on concrete or mortar substrates to get a seamless aesthetic finish in your reading room, bedroom or living room walls. It offers water repellency with butter smoothness.
Latex Shield 2K: This ensures a high-performance coating by forming an excellent waterproof and protective elastomeric layer on interior surfaces.
Wall Shield 2K: This is an acrylic polymer modified white cement-based waterproofing coating that prevents moisture passage through gaps. It is ideal for interiors and offers a protective undercoat to reduce the risks of moisture-related infections.

Robust waterproofing solutions can keep moisture out of your home for years to come. Damp walls must be treated well before using healthy paint for your house to prevent infections of the immune system and lung diseases.

Choose paints that are eco-friendly and have won the confidence of prestigious associations. Keep your home safe and healthy and your family members protected from infections.

  • The Increasing Use of SaaS in the Healthcare Industry

The Increasing Use of SaaS in the Healthcare Industry

    Highlights

    ●  According to recent reports, SaaS is taking over the cloud computing business, particularly in the healthcare sector.
    ●  SaaS has been used by healthcare businesses to expand the variety of their software, a trend that is expected to develop and evolve.
    ●  SaaS helps healthcare systems and domains in a variety of ways.

In today’s economy, healthcare is a critical industry. In light of the present epidemic, its relevance has been made clearer than ever. Soaring growth in SaaS is affecting the healthcare industry as well as breakthroughs in medical and scientific technologies.

The advent of SaaS apps in the healthcare industry comes at a critical juncture. According to a LabRetriever study from 2017, when it comes to healthcare, the adoption rate of SaaS was lower in 2011-2012 at only 4%; however, since then, it has grown at a pace of roughly 20% each year. By 2024, the healthcare cloud computing industry is expected to be worth $51.9 billion, according to predictions. Health care providers will soon be relying more heavily on SaaS cloud computing solutions as the market leader.

SaaS, according to a post by Covetus LLC, will become an essential part of healthcare in the future because of its cheap cost and scalability features. SaaS solutions may help healthcare companies increase revenue and improve the efficiency of their business processes. These advantages are augmented by the fact that HIPAA-compliant SaaS solutions save implementation time in integrating application delivery services across data centres. There are even more benefits to be mentioned.

One thing to keep in mind is how SaaS adoption has led to new developments in the healthcare business. According to Linchpin, a digital marketing problem-solving tool, the healthcare sector will be shaped in a certain way by key developments in 2021. These are a few examples:

Vertical SaaS is on the growth

The rise of vertical SaaS, which focuses on certain industry verticals and provides services, is a development that has a lot of promise. Vertical SaaS is poised to overtake horizontal SaaS due to its ability to target particular businesses and supply chains. The healthcare industry stands to benefit greatly from vertical SaaS.

Workflows will be able to track and evaluate their long-term results using the KPIs and preset metrics provided by this solution. They may swiftly and easily obtain industry-specific knowledge and patient data to better comprehend patient insights. Furthermore, vertical SaaS may help firms better manage data governance processes because of its industry-specific compliance and transparency capabilities. For healthcare firms to deliver high-quality services while also increasing business value, vertical SaaS is an option worth considering.

    Micro-SaaS is becoming more popular

It is very uncommon for micro-Saas companies to be run by only one person or a small group of people, sometimes no more than two people. It would be helpful if their teams added more features to their current projects and existing platforms. In the healthcare industry, such add-ons might be beneficial. In 2021 and beyond, data shows that small SaaS products will be more successful.

    Result of AI

Successful IT companies are using AI to change their operations, enhance efficiency, and improve production, according to data from the research firm Gartner. Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to greatly enhance SaaS applications and how they operate.

SaaS-based healthcare systems are reaping several benefits, notwithstanding the current state of healthcare trends. Simplified collaboration, improved learning management systems for healthcare training, and better patient-doctor engagement and patient care approaches are just some of the benefits of SaaS in the healthcare industry.

Healthcare SaaS may assist in the following areas:

    ●  Using Telemedicine

The use of telemedicine is on the rise. A CAGR of 37.2% is predicted for the worldwide telemedicine industry, which was valued in 2019 at $27 billion and is forecast to reach $171.81 billion by 2026. Using telemedicine, patients may get more convenient and accessible treatment. Medical facilities and their patients may benefit from telemedicine thanks to SaaS technology.

In this way, healthcare systems may be improved, made more accessible, and extended to more people, even those living in remote places, so that they can get the treatment they need when they need it. With the help of medical specialists, those who are bedridden may get care from anywhere in the world.

     Improved internal communication and coordination

Healthcare businesses, like any other, need to improve communication among their many divisions. SaaS software, such as Hospital Management Software systems (HMS), helps hospitals streamline their processes and keep track of critical data. Better revenue management is one of their claimed benefits.

HMS makes it easier for healthcare workers to communicate with one another and for patients’ vital information to be sent more promptly and efficiently. If the number of medical workers in a country is large, or if there are disparities in data management and exchange, this might be useful.

    ●  Enhanced openness

To provide the best possible care to their patients, physicians and other medical professionals must have complete access to their patient’s medical records. Situations, when the patient is physically incapacitated and unable to provide essential medical information, are even more critical. There is an increase in the openness of patient data inside an organisation because of SaaS and electronic health records (EHRs).

    ●  Updating one’s knowledge

Throughout their careers, medical professionals must stay abreast of new developments in their industry and expand their knowledge base. This demand may be hampered by their hectic schedules.

    The Bottom Line

It’s also worth noting how big digital companies like Icloudhospital are pushing into the healthcare industry. Icloudhospital is a major participant in the healthcare cloud, and the company is quickly expanding its reach. iCloudHospital, a worldwide leader in medical concierge services, makes it possible for clinics and hospitals all over the globe to serve their patients with the utmost efficiency.

iCloudHospital’s unique technology enables hospitals and clinics to focus on what they do best—treating patients—while iCloudHospital handles all the system integrations, communications systems embedded with the website, and helps produce traffic with videos and articles—all in a reliable enterprise-level firmware and internet presence with high uptimes and throughput.
