Big Boss Marathi’s famed Dadus show stole the spotlight on the second day, and the international kite-flying event was held at the beach. The third day was highly energizing; it had the horse race held on the beach, along with a helicopter show by the Coast Guard, and concluded with singers like Vishwajeet Borwankar & Anshika Chonkar, delighting the audiences with their favorite Bollywood numbers.

    Apart from the important highlights, the event had an excellent dance, music, and art program schedule that featured some of the most popular names, such as the phenomenal Rasika Dhoble and internal musicians.

Themed around partnerships leading to #RoadToVictory, Vi TeeWalk 2024 held its first city chapter for this year at the Prestige Golf Shire, Bengaluru with more than 70 senior corporate leaders from the city participating in the tournament.  

    Vi TeeWalk 2024- Bengaluru chapter was played in Texas Scramble format with each team consisting of four players.

    The annual golfing event Vi TeeWalk 2024 that marries the enduring sport of golf with seamless networking opportunities both on and off the course, is set to bring together another 150 plus top CXOs from multiple industries for the upcoming Mumbai & Delhi editions.

    Introducing a new feature in this year’s edition, the participants of Vi TeeWalk 2024 in each city will get a chance to play and engage with a professional golfer.

    As part of the programme, participants of the Bengaluru edition got an opportunity to play with the professional golfer Riddhima Dilawari, a 13 time winner on the Women’s Professional Golf Tour of India.  The Sunshine Ladies Tour member will also be in Mumbai while the Delhi leg participants will get an opportunity to play with Neha Tripathi, a 19 time winner on the Women’s Professional Golf Tour of India and finished second on the Order of Merit for 2023 season.

    Mumbai: In a remarkable step towards inclusivity and empowerment, Atypical Advantage, India’s leading livelihood platform for people with disabilities, celebrates a significant milestone. Over 200 artists with disabilities have collectively earned more than Rs 1 crore through collaborations between Atypical and various brands across India.

    More than 250 plus brands including Nestle, Accenture, Godrej, Amazon, Tata Power, Adani, Pepperfry, Dell Technologies, Tata Steel, Mad Over Donuts, and others have partnered with Atypical Advantage to educate and entertain their millions of employees while providing a platform to help artists with disabilities be self-sufficient and earn a dignified income.

    Over the past three years, this initiative has provided livelihood opportunities across various sectors, spanning singing, dancing, stand-up comedy, motivational speaking, visual arts, as well as freelance services like voiceover, content writing, and photography. Artists who have benefited from these opportunities are from all across the country and encompass a diverse range of disabilities such as visual disability, down syndrome, hearing impairment, and more.

    Varun Naren, an artist from Mumbai with autism spectrum disorder, has earned nearly Rs. 2,70,000 through artwork sales and corporate doodling sessions. He said, ‘My artistic journey has been incredibly fulfilling, and teaching doodling at corporate events has allowed me to share my passion and be financially independent.’ Another artist with autism spectrum, Karthik Krishnamurthy, a renowned singer based in Chennai, has earned close to Rs. 85,000 from the platform with a series of shows, including Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, where he was a finalist.

    Mumbai: The LSEG-Ipsos monthly primary consumer sentiment index (PCSI) consumer confidence has further improved in February 2024, over January 2024, according to the LSEG-Ipsos primary consumer sentiment index (PCSI). Overall, there was a 2.9 percentage points increase in February 2024, over the previous month, as India continues to show resilience despite the stressed global macro forces, and its score was 69.4 (highest globally).

    The PCSI is driven by the aggregation of the four weighted sub-indices and the report showed a positive uptick across all the four sub-indices: the PCSI current personal financial conditions (“Current Conditions”) Sub-Index was up 4.2 percentage points; the PCSI investment climate (“Investment”) sub-index moved up 4.2  percentage points; the PCSI economic expectations (“Expectations”) sub-index was up 1.7 percentage points and the PCSI employment confidence (“Jobs”) sub-index increased 2.5 percentage points.

    How did the global markets stack up?

    Global markets provided interesting trends – some markets witnessed an uptick in the sentiment index and some markets witnessed a downward slide in consumer sentiment.

    The LSEG-Ipsos  

    The Global Consumer Confidence Index is the average of all surveyed countries’ Overall or “National” indices. This month’s installment is based on a monthly survey of more than 21,000 adults under the age of 75 from 29 countries conducted on Ipsos’ Global Advisor online platform. This survey was fielded between 26 January and 9 February 2024.

    Among the 29 countries, India (69.4) holds the highest National Index score this month. Indonesia (65.2) and Thailand (60.4) are the other countries with a National Index score of 60 or higher.

    “We continue to witness stable conditions in terms of the economy, personal finances, as consumers are less stressed about running their households and daily spends, and are also buoyant about discretionary spends, for investments, savings and buying big ticket items. Interestingly, sentiment around jobs has also improved as some companies are hiring in the new fiscal. Our survey captures the pulse of the consumer and gauges how consumer sentiment moves from month to month, as it has ramifications for marketers. In a depressed macro environment, it would be natural for consumers to cutback, and it resets consumer priorities. But in the reverse scenario (which was seen in Feb 2024), consumers are willing to splurge and  generally feel good about the economy and the job market. Also, the interim Budget had no big surprises in terms of direct and indirect taxes – govt did not burden the consumers more. Food inflation has also been under control,” said Ipsos India CEO Amit Adarkar.
