    MMTC-PAMP names Amul Saha as chief digital officer

    Mumbai: Indian gold & silver refinery accredited by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), MMTC-PAMP announced the appointment of Amul Kumar Saha as its chief digital officer. In his new role, Saha will create and drive strategy to scale up presence and achieve market leadership in the fast-growing consumer space. This would include building new business and revenue streams and presence in strategic and high growth spaces like eCommerce, digital gold, buyback and other related business lines. He will report to MMTC-PAMP managing director & CEO Vikas Singh.    

    Saha is a seasoned business leader with 12 plus years of experience in sales, business development, product marketing and technology. His recent specialisations are in the Online and E-Commerce domain and he was earlier associated with Samsung India. Under his leadership, the brand achieved online market leadership in the hyper competitive consumer durables sector.  

    Commenting on his new role, Saha said, “I am honoured to take up this responsibility that the company has entrusted me with. As a part of my new role, I will be exploring uncharted avenues to grow our consumer-facing business primarily through Digital and Omni-channel initiatives.     Mumbai: Global full-service, integrated marketing and communications agency Pink Lemonade Communications has won the digital mandate for Kurl-on. With this collaboration, the mattress brand aims to grow its reach and engagement on the internet as well as plan and execute an array of offline marketing activities that include – conceptualization, content writing, editing, and proofing, as well as the design and layout of their offline branding collateral.

    The agency will handle their digital marketing on all platforms, do their search engine optimization, and run campaigns for them on their various platforms, while also researching and analysing their performance & engagement to grow and optimise their presence on each of the respective platforms.

    The brand collaterals will include invitation certificates, canter vehicle branding, flyers, brochures, standees, e-mailers and product catalogues. In addition, Pink Lemonade will do a brand campaign for them biannually and assist them with product launch campaigns.

    Godrej Group’s Pankaj Singh Parihar joins Condé Nast India as chief business officer

    MUMBAI: Condé Nast India announced on Thursday the appointment of former Godrej Group VP & head of digital Pankaj Singh Parihar as the chief business officer. In his new role, Parihar will be responsible to lead the commercial teams in defining and delivering on advertising revenue targets, while shaping the company’s sales and marketing strategy & business growth. He will play an integral role in the delivery of all commercial revenue including digital and print sales, branded content, social, video and events for the company. Parihar will report directly to Condé Nast India’s managing director Alex Kuruvilla.

    On the appointment, Condé Nast India managing director Alex Kuruvilla said, “2021 was the year when Digital + Video became the largest commercial platform for Condé Nast India. The future growth will continue to be driven by these platforms along with our events business, which is beginning to make a comeback.     Parihar parted ways with the Godrej Group after serving over 8 years in the company. He was a part of the leadership team at Godrej Consumer Products. He was leading the digital center of excellence-digital marketing, digital commerce, and digital transformation at GCPL. He was also in charge of monitoring the entire cycle of consumer journeys on digital and digital marketing for all GCPL brands.

    Parihar joined the multinational conglomerate in 2014 as associate vice president and head of digital transformation. His responsibilities at the organisation included driving and operating the D2C channel, overlooking the digital & growth marketing, creating a seamless data stack and driving actionable insights for the company.

    He had also worked for behemoth brands such as Ogilvy, Omnicom Media Group and The Times Group.

    Mumbai: Twitter’s former CEO Jack Dorsey has stepped down as a board member of the microblogging platform. Dorsey’s exit from the Twitter board means he no longer has anything to do with the social media giant and has exited completely.

    In November 2021, he also resigned from the position of CEO of Twitter. Then, he was replaced by Parag Agarwal, a technical expert of Indian origin. Parag was the CTO of the company at that time.

    His resignation comes at a time when there is a tussle between Elon Musk and Twitter. Musk is pressuring the company to reveal the actual number of fake or spam accounts on the platform.
