    MUMBAI: Zeel’s OTT distribution platform Ditto TV has partnered with Fox International Channels (India) to host three of its HD channels. Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo People and Baby TV will be available Live to Ditto TV viewers.

     

    The former two channels will have a range of wildlife and adventure shows that portray the culture and lifestyle of people from across the globe. Baby TV on the other hand will show content for kids and parents.

     

    Ditto TV business head Manoj Padmanabhan said, “Our partnership with Nat Geo will give the consumers access to high quality, exciting and entertaining content in HD. This is the first time HD channels streaming is being made available on an OTT platform. We hope to continue our efforts to provide the maximum value and a seamless viewing experience to our consumers.”

    NEW DELHI: India’s Home Digital Media has joined BesTV Indonesia to launch its OTT (Over the Top)/ IPTV services globally to target the 25 million Indian diaspora living outside India by using the CDN “Content Delivery Network” of Akamai and Octoshape.

     

    Home Digital Media which is a subsidiary of Home Cable Network, an independent Delhi based multi system operator (MSO) and a “Class B” ISP in India headed by Vikki Choudhry, has successfully tested the system.

     

    BesTV and Home Digital Media have been working in close association on this partnership project for the past three years and  have rolled out its global OTT services on the various application platforms  of Intan, MyTVapp, Relay TV and Home Digital Anytime/Anywhere TV.

    MUMBAI:  Vdopia has announced the appointment of several top talents to further strengthen its leadership ranks: Jason Shulman, Farzad Jamal and Narayanan Iyer.

     

    Farzad Jamal has come on-board as vice president, Europe. Jamal will be based in the company’s London office and will be responsible for expanding Vdopia’s business across Europe. Previously, he was at the OpenX (London) where he has been commercial director of EMEA for the past two years.

     

    Jason Shulman has joined as senior vice president, sales at the company’s San Francisco office. Shulman will be responsible for growing North America media and programmatic revenue for the company. “There are very few companies with global scale in the mobile video advertising space and Vdopia is on that short list. There was no saying ‘no’ to such an opportunity, especially when Vdopia is rolling out programmatic offering,” said Shulman.

     

    Senior director of finance, a newly created position, will be occupied by Narayanan Iyer.  He will be based in Fremont and is responsible for company’s finances. A veteran with 20 years of experience, he’s worked with Rocket Fuel, Mint and Intuit. Prior to Vdopia, he was working with Quri (San Francisco), a retail intelligence company.

    MUMBAI: Tata Communications recently announced that it is providing the official F1 licensee/broadcaster Chello DMC live Formula-1 video feeds via its wholly owned fibre network for the first time this season.

     

    The high quality video feeds, broadcast on Dutch sports channel – Sport1 – will be used for the channel’s full 2014 race season coverage.

     

    Tata Communications is the official connectivity provider of Formula 1 and by giving Chello DMC access to the video feed it stands to benefit from the deal. Six live feeds and an additional unilateral feed from all 19 races this season will be distributed via the fibre network for broadcast on the Sport1 channels and via the Sport1 app.

     

    The investment in fibre by Chello DMC is in line with its wider strategy to provide clients, such as Sport1, with the expertise and technology to increase the value of its broadcast content through improved quality, choice and cost efficiencies. By using Tata Communications’ fibre network for delivery, Sport1 now has the opportunity to provide its subscribers with not only a complete race overview, but also additional services, such as onsite commentary, across all devices.
