    Mumbai: Amazon miniTVs latest offering Rakshak- India’s Braves Chapter 1 showcases the story of the bravery and tenacity of soldiers who fought for us and our country. Rakshak- India’s Braves Chapter 1, the first instalment of the three-part film franchise, is a journey of one of the greatest martyrs in India’s history, known for his valiant battle and intrepid spirit. What made Lt. Triveni Singh a one-man army was his fervour and devotion, which left everyone in awe of him. Tracing the life of the Ashok Chakra-award, with a backdrop of the terrorist attack on Jammu Railway Station, the movie captures and invokes the sentiment of patriotism and national pride. Directed by Akshay Chaubey, and produced by Juggernaut, the movie stars Kanika Mann, Mrinal Naval, Mrinal Kulkarni and Mohit Chauhan, along with Varun Mitra in the lead role.

    As the film went live, the streaming service released a warm video featuring actor Sonu Sood, as he paid a tribute and informed viewers about the ‘real heroes’. With the heart-capturing lines, “Hero woh hai joh light aur camera on hone ka wait nahin karta, Har waqt action ke liye taiyaar rehta hai! Woh bade parde par nahin chamakta, Jung ke maidaan pe jaake real stunts karta hai!!” He redefines the true definition of a hero. Chapter 1 of Rakshak witnesses Lt. Triveni bravely fighting and gunning down two terrorists in a direct battle, and then selflessly sacrificing his life to protect 300 civilians. Packed with an abundance of mind-blowing action scenes and emotions, this movie will send chills down your spine multiple times with your heart roaring with pride.

    Mumbai: Viacom18 today announced the acquisition of exclusive digital rights to India Tour of Ireland 2023 to live-stream the three-match T20I series on JioCinema. The tour, which will also be aired live on Sports18 – 1, Sports18 – 1 HD, and Sports18 Khel will see the Jasprit Bumrah-led Indian team play three T20Is played on 18, 20, and 23 August at Malahide Cricket Club, Dublin.

    The ongoing India tour of West Indies 2023 on JioCinema surpassed tv as a platform for engagement, viewership, and concurrency. The two-test series registered a peak concurrency of over 2.2mn on JioCinema, much higher than the World Test Championship Final match between India vs Australia. More than seven crore viewers have witnessed the action from the all-format tour of the Caribbean on JioCinema.

The story recounts the events that occurred at Jammu Tawi Railway Station, where an Indian Army officer, Lieutenant Triveni Singh, and his squad infiltrated and defeated terrorists who attacked the station and began indiscriminately murdering civilians.

    Talking about the most challenging part of filming and his favorite scene, actor Josh Lucas said, “ I think it’s a weird thing to say that my favorite scenes to shoot were probably the underwater scenes,  they were really strange. Because I was shooting underwater, sometimes 6 to 8 hours a day with this team of divers and pretending to be removing a bomb and fighting against a shark, doing this kind of wild stuff! You’re alone in this environment with  a group of divers, and you’re trying to communicate back and forth with your family who is on a raft up above, and the whole thing is in your imagination. Yet, you’re 30 feet deep for six hours at times and it is kind of like this oil rig (points to the set) that this group of people created. It was just challenging in a way that was like when you walk away everyday being exhausted with the thought of ‘wow I might’ve done something really cool’. I hope the emotion of those experiences is really there in the film.”

    Mumbai: The Television Academy and FOX jointly announced on 10 August 2023 that the telecast of the 75 Emmy Awards will air on Monday, 15 January 2024 (8:00-11:00 PM EST/5:00-8:00 PM PST) on FOX. The awards will be live streamed exclusively on Lionsgate Play in India SAARC (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan) on Tuesday, 16 January 2024 from 5:30 AM IST. Viewers will also be able to watch the glamor-filled night exclusively on Lionsgate Play in Malaysia (8 AM MYT), the Philippines (8 AM PHT) and Indonesia (7 AM WIB).
