    NEW DELHI: A special webpage has been developed by Press Information Bureau on Independence Day 2016 as a platform to showcase all the events related to the Festival being celebrated throughout the country.

    The webpage that can be accessed from PIB’s home page pib.nic.in is designed was launched here today by Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu.

    The webpage showcases hundreds of archival photographs, audio and video clips, write-ups and features on leaders and events related to the freedom struggle. The webpage will host live webcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day Speech from the Red Fort and will also host other speeches delivered by the Prime Minister at events related to these celebrations.

    The Prime Minister’s Speech at the launch of the festival at Bhabra in Madhya Pradesh and photographs of the function at August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai led by Naidu yesterday will also be available on the webpage.

    The Social Media section of the Webpage will show live feeds from Twitter and Facebook. The Tweets from the PIB twitter handle having the hashtags #70YearsOfIndependenceand #Aazadi70Saal and Facebook posts on the

    MUMBAI: Saavn today revealed an entirely new slate of original programming to debut in August and September. The new collection of shows includes Film Companion with Anupama Chopra and #NoFilter Neha hosted by Neha Dhupia. Additionally, Raghu Dixit, internationally acclaimed Indian Indie musician & music director, joins Saavn’s Artist-in-Residence (AiR) program. These exciting announcements follow the launch of Saavn’s Original Programming in April 2016, which marked the evolution of India’s largest music streaming service into a multimedia entertainment streaming platform.

    Starting August 11th, Saavn Originals will premiereFilm Companion with Anupama Chopra. In addition to movie reviews, Film Companion will feature interviews with A-list film stars, as well an in-depth look at what’s worth watching in India’s ever-growing movie scene. “I’m very excited to be on Saavn,” said Anupama Chopra, “I’ve never done a long form audio show before and this is both an exciting and challenging opportunity. I hope to learn and grow with Saavn.”

    In Film Companion’s special premiere episode, Anupama talks to the who’s who of Bollywood music in a power-packed panel including music director duo Vishal-Shekhar, well-known Indian film composer, musician, singer and lyricist Amit Trivedi, and the famous music composer and a guitarist, Ehsaan Noorani, on the changing landscape and future of Bollywood and the music industry. Following this premiere, Film Companion with Anupama Chopra will stream twice weekly every Thursday and Friday on Saavn.

    Saavn also adds tongue-in-cheek talk show#NoFilter Neha with Neha Dhupia to the Saavn Originals lineup. Neha, a well-known Indian Bollywood actor and former Femina Miss India Universe 2002, will be in conversation with celebrities from Bollywood, fashion, sports, and music in her notoriously wicked style. “A big inspiration for me are Tina Fey, Ellen DeGeneres, Madonna and other dynamic strong women who are constantly pushing themselves and doing so many things,” said Neha Dupia. “For me having an audio chat show is another exciting challenge which I hope gives me another opportunity to show my quirky side. Saavn to me is a place where the talented meet the cool and vice-versa and I am happy to get on board with them as a content creator.”

    #NoFilter promises to shock, awe, and delight Saavn’s 18 million listeners starting mid-September.

That was because of the million plus subscribers it had on the mother channel Rajshri featuring Bollywood content. However, the founder, the late Rajjat Barjatya had worked hard to correct it by launching a slew of channels right from Rajshri Soul to Rajshri Food to Get Curried to channels in languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati.

    Most of these had started getting traction: Rajshri Food has a subscriber base of almost 500,000, Get Curried 70,000, Rajshri Soul 64,000, Peekaboo Kids, 48,000 and Mind Body and Soul 59,000.

    The growth in its subscriber base and views in the non-Bollywood zone has encouraged it to launch its first brand integrated food show – Ruchi Unboxes with Bajaj on Rajshri Food, which offers only vegetarian recipes. Ruchi Bharani, the host of the show, is one of the channel’s flagship chefs and will be appearing in five episodes between 1 August and 29 August with each episode being of six to seven minutes duration.

    Within two days of its launch, the first episode which focused on the scrumptious Lebanese Falafel wrap, had managed to generate close to 100,000 views. The series has been shot in Ruchi’s home with a crew of five to seven over two weeks with Rajshri content head Kavya Krishnaswamy helming it.

    The standout of the series is the brand integration the Rajshri team has managed for Bajaj. Throughout the show, Ruchi works in a Bajaj kitchen with Bajaj appliances helping make her life easier as she cooks. And at the end of the show viewers can get Bajaj giveaways and hampers delivered to their homes if they answer the chef’s quiz question right. The contest is being run on Rajshri’s facebook page too.

    Rajshri Entertainment General Manager – Content Alliances Inderpal Singh Jaggi, says the Bajaj association is just a start. “We are looking at more and more brand integrations and not just with Rajshri Foods but with our other channels too,” he says.
