Weekend Unwind with: NoFiltr.Group partner & CMO Hitarth Dadia

Mumbai: With another weekend upon us, it is time to unwind with the latest Q&A edition of Indiantelevision.com’s Weekend Unwind—a series of informal chats that peek into the minds of business executives through a fun lens in an attempt to get to know the person behind the title a little better.

In this week’s session, we have NoFiltr.Group partner & chief marketing officer (CMO) Hitarth Dadia.

His role involves optimizing business collaborations and creating a profitable entrepreneurial blueprint for the influencers collaborating with NoFiltr.Group. While driving profits in the company remains a mainstay, Dadia works closely with the creative departments and plays an instrumental role in charting out detailed insight into public relations and branding for the influencers.

Armed with foresight and a market-savvy streak, Dadia invests in a dint of hard work, giving NoFiltr.Group the edge it has today. Dadia joined NoFiltr.Group as a sales intern and advanced onwards into essaying the role of a business development head before taking over as the CMO.

Dadia’s accomplishments at NoFiltr.Group involve fruitful collaborations with international brands of repute. Some of these brands include Cadbury and Amazon Pay. While working with these brands Dadia creatively coupled his insight in sales and marketing to garner the required traction for these brands on Group media. He’s also worked extensively with reputed Group media applications like Snapchat.

Born and brought up in Mumbai, Dadia received his education from a prominent convent school. Being an introvert, he later slipped into his comfort zone during his years at Somaiya College. Soon after, he graduated in banking and insurance from Mithibai College in Mumbai, where he experienced a monumental personality shift for the positive. Dadia worked extensively towards overcoming all the blocks that would inhibit his growth. He worked at a multinational bank for a year to gain experience in the banking industry. Creativity took a back seat while working at the bank, but the experience helped him garner insight into the organizational hierarchy and structure. Being an avid reader has worked to Dadia’s advantage. His passion for non-fiction has enabled him to borrow all the positive attributes from role models who we look up to today.

So, without further ado, here it goes…

  •     Your mantra for life

Whatever you aren’t changing, you are choosing

  •     A book you are currently reading / plan to read

I just got done rereading Brave new world and currently reading house of leaves by mark danielewski and trillion dollar coach

  •     Your Fitness mantra, especially during the pandemic

Decide to choose your health everyday more or less. Be active at least for 90 minutes a day and don’t eat till you can’t eat anymore.

  •     Your comfort food

Fortunately or unfortunately my comfort food is coffee

  •     When the chips are down a quote/ philosophy that keeps you going

It is not a quote but more of an idea, if something’s important and I genuinely believe in it, I have to keep trying or die trying. If everything is going south, the one question that always comes to mind is – are you willing to die for it. It’s not as gloomy as it sounds but helps me get some additional perspective.

  •     Your guilty pleasure

My guilty pleasure is to be mindless, destination less long auto rides and some loud music

  •     When was the last time you tried something new?

It should be right now. I don’t normally answer or talk about my guilty pleasures and comfort foods

  •     A life lesson you learnt the hard way

I can’t change the world alone is a life lesson I learnt the hard way

  •     What gets you excited about life?

I feel I haven’t done my best work yet and the fact that there’s so much to learn and experience is what gets me excited about life.

  •     What’s on top of your bucket list?

Most of the things on the bucket list revolve around work. There are a few locations that I want my creators to go to, and some of them have already covered those locations like Switzerland, Australia, Dubai, Bali and Tokyo. I would like more of my creators to go there and experience the places themselves. Another priority on my list would be at least three of them to launch themselves as brands in the coming year. These are the things that are on my bucket list for next year.

  •     If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?

Advice to my younger self wouldn’t be anything serious. I would just tell him that you’re on the right track. Keep working on the things with the passion that you have. It is okay to be so angry about the things that you are determined about and it will surely end up working out brilliantly for yourself and a lot of other people.

  •     One thing you would most like to change about the world?

One thing I would change about the world is that we as a collective force of humans in general take everything too seriously. There’s a lot of information out there because of which everything seems fairly urgent. I see everyone just running which is also safe. What is not safe is escaping as it is just jumping from one thing to the other. People assume that it is the only thing they should be doing. We will be doing much better if we just take a moment to actually think about the things that we want or we believe in. People do not get enough time or the mental bandwidth to just sit down and think for themselves and not think about the problems. Speaking from my experiences I have realized that you actually think about the things, the people and the values that you like and you don’t in the world. Thereafter you choose those things, and you don’t just go with the flow. It turns out you can actually do significant things with so much ease if you just take enough time out to acknowledge your own build. So I feel that’s something that a lot more people should be doing.

  •     An activity that keeps you motivated / charged during tough times

I don’t have one activity as such, but when I am having a bad day, I would just walk more. If I’m not in a working space mentally, then I just walk or read more. I simply do the things that I’m Doing every day but more intensely.

  •     What lifts your spirits when life gets you down?

If I had to be completely honest, I’m not sure because I never get these feelings. Obviously there are days when I don’t feel like getting out of my bed because of the things happening around me or if I am mentally exhausted or just burnt out. But I think I’m insanely lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. They don’t allow me to fall into that dark hole of just self-walling. People around me are always giving that additional perspective I need so I don’t feel out of rhythm. I don’t have many of those moments and when I do have, it doesn’t take them long to get me out of it.

  •     Your go-to stress buster

My boxing bag at office. Most of the time I would be listening to metal music and working out, or just listening to RMB and chilling in my room. I am usually surrounded by different genres of music and different activities.
