Mumbai: On Mother’s Day this year, women’s well-being has taken center stage at V360 Group. Prioritising women’s health and motherhood, the comms-tech firm has announced its monthly cycle flexibility policy for not just mothers but all its female employees. It will allow the women at V360 Group to avail one monthly work-from-home day at their convenience during their menstrual cycle and work from the comfort of their homes.
Aligned with the company’s employee-centric work culture, the policy will ensure that women aren’t stigmatised or feel ashamed to talk about their menstrual health and request leaves during their periods. Around 60 per cent of V360 Group’s workforce comprises female employees. The latest initiative is intended to create a healthy workplace environment and celebrate womanhood.
V360 Group founder-director Manisha Chaudhary said, “At V360 Group, we believe in fostering a culture of trust and acceptance. Our new policy allows our entire women workforce the freedom to monthly avail up to 12 work-from-home days per year. We understand that, for most women, the first day of menstruation can be uncomfortable, so we are providing the option to work from the comfort of their homes without fear of judgment. By addressing the taboo surrounding periods, we aim to face reality and create a workplace that embraces diversity and inclusivity, where all employees feel valued and empowered. This initiative is a reflection of our commitment to turning words into meaningful action.”
On Mother’s Day last year, V360 Group launched the VMoms program, under which the company offered special benefits to working moms of kids under ten as well as new and expectant mothers. It included flexible working hours and a childcare bonus for three months after returning from maternity leave.
Before that, the comms-tech firm also introduced an industry-first initiative, Relaunch, to assist working mothers who took a career break, to get back on their feet.
