SABe TV and Sony Entertainment Television have won three and two awards respectively at the 26th Annual RAPA Awards (Radio & TV Practitioners’ Association of India) held at the Nehru Centre in Mumbai’s Worli area. The awards ceremony was held on 8 June 2001.
The winners for SABe TV were: Office – Office, a comedy with Pankaj Kapoor in the lead; Line of Fire, a talk show anchored by Karan Thappar dealing with political issues and Zimmedar Kaun? – a talk show hosted by Priya Tendulkar which confronts critical current issues.
Sony won awards in the following two categories:
* Best Promo for the Govinda hosted gameshow Jeeto Chappar Phaad Ke.
* Best Anchor to Shekhar Suman for Movers & Shakers.
