MUMBAI: Universal Studios is in talks to sell its specialty film label Rogue Pictures to private production and financing company Relativity Media.
Rogue Pictures, which makes about four films a year in the horror and teen comedy genres, may fetch Universal Studios $150 million.
The deal would transfer Rogue‘s title library of more than 25 films and over 30 upcoming projects to Relativity Media.
Meanwhile, Universal would continue to distribute and market Rogue‘s movies.
Rogue, which was launched in 2004 as a division of Universal‘s Focus Features, became an independent specialty unit of the parent studio in 2007.
